I've used rollers for eggshell and it was fine. I used the rollers recommended for gloss paint. They are made of sponge rather than the pile ones you use for emulsion.

I went into TK Max yesterday, and was amazed at all the stuff in there that fell into the shabby chic bracket. Didn't buy anything though as didn't seem very frugal.
Am planning on visiting nearest town with three charity shops today, hope to find some nice fabric to kick start my plans for making a quilt.

    Hooray! New thread! Love it!
Work has been thin on the ground at the mo, so I've been finishing all the handmade Xmas presents from last year....lavender bags, scarf, and X-stitch mirror for my auntie. Have also dragged out sewing machine and started making some clothes.Am feeling v.proud of myself :)
ISOM, the sponge rollers are ok for eggshell but may leave air bubbles behind so a 'feather-light' brush over afterwards helps a lot. Otherwise the smallest diameter, shortest pile roller you can find works quite well. Tbh tho, I always find eggshell to be a complete nightmare - like painting with glue! Good luck and hope that helps, Pooks
