Tesco grocery online codes - discussion thread

I've just successfully used B747LQNP7F7L which is valid until 24 June 2005.
It's for £10 off a £75 spend.
Couldn't see it elsewhere and a search didn't bring anything up either, so apologies if it has already been posted.

i've heard it's possible to order loads of bogofs to get the total to the minimum amount (such as £50) then use your discount code so that when they actually take the bogof's off your bill in the end you only wind up paying around £20 because when they actually take the money they then discount the items so if you had all bogofs and spent exactly the minimum spend of £50 your order in the end would be £25 minus the £10 discount PLUS the delivery fee of say £4.99 so basically you would get your entire order for £19.99
am i correct in believing that they do this, i'm certain i've heard of people doing this successfully but i want to know before i try it as i can't afford to be stungfounder of Frugal Genius UK (Yahoo Groups)0 -
It would be true, my shop came to nearly £70 the other day with BOGOF's plus my main shop. In the end I paid £43 with all the discounts and a voucher.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

must of asked this on another thread that i cant find
if i bank a code that expires 15 june eg .... then do the shop on the 20th june , does the code still work ?
i presume it does otherwise why bank .... how do you bank the codes ? does tesco use the highest code available in your bank ?0 -

In answer to your question, once the code has expired it disappears from the system and cannot be used after the date (system even tells you if you try to order shopping using it after the date). Tesco does use the highest code for the value of your shop and works out which vouchers can be used in combination (if any).

MonkeyGirl wrote:Sorry if this has been asked before. Can you use the codes more than once on two different shops? I used a code for £10 off I think it was when I did my shop a few weeks back. Just wondered if I could use the same code again for my next shop in a few weeks providing it hasn't expired obviously.
Thank you.
No, each code can only be used once per customer.0 -
The threshold is usually £30/50/75/100 the first two are usually £5 vouchers, but sometimes there is a £10 off £50. £10 off £75 and £15 off £100 are the norm, but again they sometimes give £15 off £75. To check put a few bottles of spirits in your basket and see at what level of spend the voucher is accepted, then you will know when you do your usual shopping.

Hi
Did my first on-line shop last night. But I'm not completely sure I got the best savings!
I used a personal voucher to receive 500 points on my first .com shop (if I spend over £50)
The only code I could get to work off here was XXQWVJ-£5.00 off £50.00 spend.
Ordered last night, to get stuff on Wednesday, at the cheapest delivery cost.
Spent £50.20 to get above offers-but this was before deductions, so should be paying less when order arrives????
Bought as many BOGOF as I needed (or use shall I say), and purchased quite alot of Tesco Value products.
Paid with cash-back credit card.
Was there any other savings I could make, you Guys who are doing this all the time?
I'll not be so green then, next time!!!!

cheese wrote:This is exactly the way I shop, and with the BOGOF discounts and a voucher for money off the total bill, I usually get at least £10-£20 off every week. I think you'll be surprised at how much you get off when the driver brings you your invoice tomorrow.
Let us know, I'm intrigued now!
Will do, arriving this afternoon!:j0
