Nice feature - which means no days lost interest on withdrawals from May/JuneTwelve withdrawals are permitted each account year without notice or penalty. (For Branch on demand, for direct all withdrawals paid by BACS to nominated Bank Account)
[BTW, I got a BACS credit from them today as it happens. The payment seems to have been sent on 31/01 and arrived 01/02 - but this was into a personal HSBC account. Payments to West Brom's '40' collection account seem to take only one day from any bank acc. to recent posts].....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -

Unlikely account will still be a best buy account all those months on. :rotfl:
If faster online payments are due to take effect by May/June that may be the reason for an apparent resurgence in Postal Accounts. :rolleyes:0 -

yes, I realise that but it gives the impression that you cannot operate it online yourself. Like you can with, say, Icesave.
Am I reading it wrong then?0 -

U are correct in that understanding, It doesnt look as if Westbromwich have any actual online account facility.
Even online application form has to be printed off and posted.
( just wasted my time going through application form on upstairs PC where their is no printer. )
Account can be opened by transferring funds from an existing Westbromwich account so handy for the 100.00 account holders to transfer their 100.00 into a higher paying account.

No - there is no online facility at West Brom at all.
The rate guarantee on the Star Easy Access a/c is 0.5% above base rate until 1st Feb 2009. If you're interested, compare with the Premier Bonus Tracker Plus:

Less withdrawals per year and lower rate at the moment - but guarantee is higher.
Depends on your requirements.0 -
Just in case anybody is interested, this account ( at least via post ) is non passbook,
and by Westbromwiches stated receipt of application date, took 5 calendar days to receive details of account opening with welcome pack.
( 9 calendar days from date of posting application to receipt of confirmation of account opening)0
