we saved for 2 years and went last year.we paid £517 in tcc vouchers and about £500 in cash.could have paid it all in vouchers but didn't wait for the feb statement to come in.we toured Florida and that included 11nts accommodation. we booked the other 7 nts ourself.we flew from Edinburgh to Fort myers.as long as you book 7nts with them if it is cheaper [not enough vouchers for the whole holiday]you can book the rest yourself.we've also went to nyc and boston using the vouchers and the west coast .it's worth it if you have alot of vouchers.0

We went to Thailand with virgin thanks to mr .T . No complaints at all and no problems booking .
Keep saving. On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0 -
We booked yesterday to go to Florida with Virgin using Clubcard deals. We paid entirely with deals (if you are short even £1 of deals you must pay £120 per person deposit in cash and the balance in deals).
Cosmos and Virgin do not give you any discounts if you are using Deals, i.e. online booking discount with Cosmos does not apply. We found that with Virgin we got nearest to the price those not using Deals were paying. The staff were really helpful in searching for the cheapest dates & airport. It is cheaper to depart Monday to Friday than on Saturday or Sunday.0 -
I've just booked to go to Dubai with Virgin using over £1000 of Clubcard deals. The price I was given was the one quoted on the Virgin Holiday website but without the online discount. Staff very helpful. You do need to have your vouchers before you try and book, as they ask for the serial numbers.0

Does anyone know about free child places with Virgin when you pay with Clubcard deals? I don't want to spend all year saving them (not to mention buying garlic capsules) only to discover I wont' have enough0

I'm not sure whether you can use them for the free child places, but just be aware that these "free" places are notoriously hard to get. I know several people who've been very flexible with dates but failed to secure a place.0 -
I have about £698 in deals vouchers, my first lot to expire do so 31/8. If I cash these in and get Virgin vouchers, how long are they valid for because I am trying to work out how many more statements can be included before I need to use the Virgin vouchers. Trying to save for a flydrive and the cost is about £4k for us.
Forgot to say that I am looking for 2009's holiday.
Thanks£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

Hi Kazd
once you have exchanged to deals you have 6 months before they run out, if thats not long enough which it should be for 2009, you could always send them back and get them recredited to the account.0 -
The only bad thing with this is that you have to use them against brochure price. This can be crazily more expenisve than the online price with online discounts, specail net offers ect.
We were going to use our vouchers agaisnt a £3000 holiday to Barbados with Virgin holidays - then we see the price was like £900 cheaper online!!!!
You could be using them and wasting them as something like that, you would be paying an extra £1000 anyway!wins 2008: nada

I totally agree with you Kazprincess, I have discovered this in the past sometimes it actually works out cheaper to pay cash and use the vouchers on items where the price is not loaded.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.
