Have just bought 100 Cadbury's Super Selection Boxes from Tesco Extra.

They are priced at £4.99 each plus B.O.G.O.F. making them £2.50 each.

They didn't have them in my local 'normal' Tesco's so may only apply to Tesco Extra.

I need so many for a children's Christmas Party. Got an extra bonus when the woman on the till didn't ring the right amount in and I saved £45.00:D :D

I posted this earlier but think it was on the wrong board.

Could have done. These selection boxes have 11 sweets in them. They are for a Christmas Party for 100 local disadvantaged children (some of whom live in refuges) and are not fortunate enough to have the 'traditional' Christmas enjoyed by many of us.

We have been fundraising all year for this and done well so are trying to push the boat out and give them a Christmas to remember.

Well done on being such a lovely person. Too much bad ness going on in the world of some kids, everyone one needs someone to be caring towards them.
p.s You should of tried ringing tesco customer service, if you explained why you needed that many they might have thrown in a few extra party bits, or told us MSE's and we could have donated vouchers etc.

If you speak to the store manager and tell him/her what you are organising and that you have already spent a lot in the store, you never know, they may contribute a few more goodies to your party??? Nothing to lose by asking....

Many thanks for your tips - still have a lot to buy yet so will talk to their customer services dept and see what they are willing to donate/reduce in price.

Got 30 of the Crayola Stickers sets delivered today that were posted on this site reduced from £13.00 to £0.99 so these will be presents for the younger ones.

Also bought 100 bags of Walkers Crisps in Morrisons for £6.00 courtesy of another post on this site and whilst in there found some good offers on branded drinks - bought one for each of the children also. Got the lot for £26.00. So keep the posts coming in everyone as I'm certainly using them.

Will remember your offer of voucher donation when we repeat the party next year.

We have scrapstore coming in, face painters, magicians and a disco and a lot of local companies/trusts have made donations either cash or goods e.g. food, presents, volunteers, etc. Just hope it all goes well
  • Good on you! at least you are doing something for other people with them rather than the usual ebayers!:T
  • This deal also available at Tesco Online
  • :A Just read your Thread, and I have to say that its nice to hear what you are doing for the children, I wish some of the youth today could experience a day in their lives so they could appreciate their own more!

Well done. I sometimes get a bit frustrated on MSE - there are times when it seems many posters are just interested in buying up all the bargains to put on ebay. It will be shoebox time at school soon (Operation Christmas Child) and I am stockpiling bargains to go in these, but it is great that you are giving so much of your time to a really worthy cause.
