Littlewoods Statement and Martin's comment

Have a great weekend everyone

Andrea :)

My own fault may be but i opened a new account with littlewoods under my married name as i had forgotten that i had one with my maiden name as i hadn't ordered for years and did'nt receieve the catalog any more. I used a new cutomer £25 code that i found on here went through great paid off what i owed my now months down the track Littlewoods have charged me the £25 saying that i wasn't sent the voucher. I rang to complain as it was so long ago and i have used the goods, i can't send them back. I said you can't charge me months down the line when i paid off the bill in full they said they can do what ever they want as the computer shouldn't have accepted it and i need to prove the code was sent to me and have to put it all in writting to head office. So please all be aware you take a risk when using codes from web-sites. i am going to just pay it off and close my account down i want nothing more to do with littlewoods again.

  • Hi, thats gotta be because you have 2 accounts at one address, i have used numerous codes that i got from this site and many others for years and have never been re-charged.
Did they refund your £25 when you complained?

    Thanks,
    Liz :o

I wouldn't pay it! Write to head office and tell them they honoured the code and you hyave since used thegoods. They can't do that! If you have statements showing they accepted the code they wont have a leg to stand on

Better advice is never ever to buy from these scummy catalogue places.

There computer shouldn't of accepted it is not an excuse to take unauthorised funds from you. The fact is the computer did accept it.

    Boils my blood.
  • The same thing has just happened to me, but I have never had an account with them previously and it was the 1st code I had ever used, it just says on the online statement 19-09-07 "voucher cancelled" almost four months after recieving the item, so now I have an unexpected bill for £25.

send them the original statement showing the code approved on, they have therefore put in writing to you that they accepted the code. I did this in a letter to head office, they backed down straight away.
  • I too have just noticed on this statement from Littlewoods that they have added a £25 charge to my account - voucher cancelled

I sent an e mail querying it - and they came back saying it had not been sent to me - and if it had to send a copy of the offer I received

Have replied saying that thisi s ridiculous as it was ages ago and I have'nt kept the leaflet with the offer !

    Will keep you informed
  • I was thinking about this too. If they want proof the offer was sent to you they should only accept paper coupons. It is totally unreasonable for anyone to keep junk mail for more than a couple of weeks let alone 4 months. That is how some of these codes arrive, on a printed mailshot. Who would save that for 4 months? Also, if they claim to have emailed the codes well most people delete advertising type mail quite quickly. If they approach me for the money off voucher I used I will write and tell them that its unreasonable to keep these codes if they are sent as junk mail, and I suggest anyone else does the same.
  • This has just happened to me too

A statement saying voucher cancelled -£25

    Am going to email them.

Any advice on how i should word it would be greatly appreciated

I would tell them you entered into a contract, which has now been completed, they gave you the goods, you paid the price they were asking, they can't change there minds weeks down the line, and say actually we don't want you to use that voucher, I imagine this is totally illegal.
