That's a great spec for the price! However, I'm looking for one for video editing and this one doesn't seem to have a firewire port

You could always get a PCMCIA firewire card.

This one will set you back £8.63 inc VAT, but need to add PnP.

That was just the first hit at ebuyer, so I'm sure theres probably cheaper elsewhere.

Thanks for that - dont know much about fitting cards to laptops - is there definately an expansion slot for this card?

How many slots are there? Could I also fit a graphics card?

Sorry for asking the obvious - but I only have a desktop

Looks like great specification for the price. Maybe the graphics could be better but with 2GB RAM and 160 GB Hard Drive its a great looking machine. Have just ordered one - Many Thanks PeteHerts !!

Don't think they will last long. The RRP was £799 just before Xmas and Toys R Us are currently selling them for £699.

I couldn't find any mention of the warranty on the website. Any info on the warranty ? Are Gateway laptops generally Ok?
