Pay off £1000 overdraft in 10 weeks?

Hi all,

as you can see from my re adjusted sig and my thread sub 4k, am on the last stretch of my debt free road. now i just want to get rid!

so....i am setting myself a challenge to see if i can pay off my £1000 overdraft in 10 weeks, by the 18th february!:)

i have just checked online banking and bar a few pennies it is standing at a fat £1000 and i dont like it lol

so starting tomorrow morning and for the next 10 weeks i am planning on hammering this debt once and for all!

any suggestions as always gratefully received and lots of encouragement and positive vibes please:)

i really want to get shot of this so then i can concentrate on my loan, which is the last debt i will have.

tomorrow i am planning on counting up the pennies in my piggy and going down to the bank and paying them in:) i think i might have about £15 in there, not much but its a start!!!

i would like to use ebay to sell a few things but as i already have an account for the business i dont think you can open another one. i maybe wrong???

please cross your fingers for me......

I have an Excellent MSE option for you, ask guests to donate different services items for the wedding rather than a gift. Our wedding cost us less than £1000. We had the venue donated by my husbands sister, his other sister along with five other guests, donate food for the affair, we had his mates donate different types of beverages, this one was particulary popular, we had kegs of beer, bottles of champange and other liquers arrive on the morning. I friend of mine who ran a cleaning company gift was 4 hours of cleaning up the reception. A mate of my sister in law offered his band for the reception for 2 hours. Afterwhich we just played CD's. My brother inlaw took all the photos and developed them as his gift, and we used his nice car (Mercedes) to the Register office, which he decorated. The only items we paid for was the Cake, flowers, and our outfits on the day and small gifts we gave to the wedding party. It was a lovely day, and our reception lasted nearly 6 hours after we left for the evening. Who says you have to pay a fortune to have a day to remember! Good Luck..:)

Jamie - good luck with your OD clearance. I'm TOTALLY with you all the way on this one as I have an OD slightly higher than yours and I want it gone by my birthday at the absolute latest (start of April).
