NEW Capital One 0% BT on 18 & 15 months !!

Options
Hello all...!

Just a quick message to say look out for the new Capital One Platinum Mastercard offers out there.

In the Mail newspaper today, the weekend magazine contained oddly 2 very similar looking mainly white coloured leaflets with the word "Value" and "Added" splashed in the middle and lower portion of it along with an image of a typical capital one card in the top right corner.

One was for 15 months with 0% on balance transfers,...and the other for 18 months 0%.

Not had a chance to read through all the terms thoroughly on each....but very briefly.....seems there is a 2% fee on transfers maxed at £50, greater of 3% or £5 as the minimum repayment, limit £1,000 upto £25,000, 13.9% variable APR otherwise....whatever you do - read the terms & conditions in your leaflet!!

Suspect Capital One may be doing the regional/random thing again in distributing different offer leaflets, but cant explain why I had the fortune of receiving 2. Can only suspect it was an error when it was placed inside...

Happy hunting....! :p

  • I got the 15 month one yesterday as well in the Daily Mail I picked up for my Dad. I didn't manage to get the last 18 month deal but, hopefully, things will go better this time. I think the 3% repayments and the £50 transfer fee will put a lot of people off, though.
  • Nothing in my Sunday Mail I'm afraid - does anyone have any spare forms or details of where else they can be found?

Wallyman, if you pm me your name and address, you can have the 18 months form which fell out of today's Times.

I purchased today's Times from a newsagent in Watford. Hope this helps anyone looking for one of these forms.

Think I'll take a chance on a Times today.
(Or maybe in true Moneysaver style I'll just shake one and see what falls out!)
  • Just looked at Capital Ones website and there ain't no mention of these long term BT's :-(

...... and I wouldn't mind betting that the Credit Limits are low!!!!
It has taken about 4,500,000,000 (4.5 billion) years for the Earth to form as it is now .........
and it'll only take about another 100 years for mankind to really **** it up!!!!

Cap One tend not to put there newest BIG promotions straight on the web as witnessed in the last similar card offer they had also. It appeared online quite some time later...

Plus, it initially seemed to have a regional/random aspect to where the offer forms could be found...seems so far the same strategy is being deployed for whatever masterful reasons they have...

Your right though, the limits could well be low, so for anyone who applies...please let the forum know how you get on!! !

Bizarrely...I actually picked up (both!) the forms from the Saturday Mail newspaper Weekend magazine while passing through Watford too!

  • Just seen the same application form described earlier fall out of the Daily telegraph in my local Milton Keynes newsagents. BUT only 9 months @ 0%. Interesting what a few miles difference can make.

    { *cough - cough!* }

...was that fall out while purchasing or ferociously being shaken!? ;)

Perhaps Watford/Hertfordshire or even North London is a testbed before a major rollout of the promo? ....who knows I guess!
