I am outraged by the decisions of these countries to resume killing of whales.
During the years of the apaartheid régime in South Africa, I tried my best never to buy any products from SA and felt better for it even if it was a miniscule gesture.
It's my firm intention if at all possible not to buy ANY products exported from these whaling countries while they maintain this attitude.
Is there anyone else out there willing to make this early New Year's resolution??

Whilst I agree with you regarding the decision to resume whaling, I'm not convinced that boycotting purchasing goods from the countries in question is gonna do much.
This is only one issue, for example how do you feel about the USA's decision to continue with it's Guantanamo Bay outrage, or say China's appalling human rights record. You'd end up crossing off and boycotting all countries on the map!
Maybe a better way would be to make a small monthly donation to Greenpeace who actively campaign against such issues?
Iceland have got this one wrong, but on the flip side, they are one of the 'Greenest' countries around and are on course to have 100% of their power supplied from renewable sources. Something which easily puts the UK and USA to shame.

Also, check this out on the Greenpeace website about how you can voice your opinion to the Icelandic authorities regarding this matter:

We may well have to pick and choose our targets, largely according to our personal prejudices in all likelihood but, whilst our f e c kless government sits on its hands and does nothing, I think it's up to the individual.
Yes, I don't have much good to say about the US and the Chinese. Whenever possible I don't buy their stuff, either.
Greenpeace may be your way and I respect that - but I for one believe firmly that the way to a whaling nation's heart lies through its wallet rather than protests in inflatable boats.0 -

If we had more superheated water and gasses bubbling up from underneath us then I'm sure we'd be able to generate more power that way too !!!!!0 -
I agree.
I also propose to boycott most western countries for killing cows, pigs and sheep.ॐ Signature Removed by Someones Mum. ॐ0
