Amazing Laptop Deal at Comet

Comet are listing the Acer Aspire 5044WLMi for £399 here.
As you can see there is no spec listed so it appears that they don't know exactly what they're selling
Having looked up the spec I put an order in immediately - this laptop has:
• AMD Turion 64 ML-34 / 1.8 GHz
• RAM : 1 GB
• HD : 120 GB
• DVD±RW (+R DL) / DVD-RAM
• Gigabit Ethernet
• 802.11b/g Wireless networking
• Win XP MCE (XP Pro with additional bits)
• 15.4" Widescreen TFT 1280 x 800 ( WXGA )
This would be a bargain at £600 - for £399 (less 3.5% Quidco) it's an absolute steal.

For instance, not all Dell Inspiron 5100s are the same spec...
The processor is 64 bit 1.8Ghz I believe.0 -

Hi all.
I just found some spec that suggest it has a Radeon X1300 graphics chip.
I also couldn't find it on Acer's own website which suggests it's discontinued - probably why Comet haven't listed the spec.
Also, the battery life is a wee bit poor compared to it's Centrino rival. Not a problem though if it's a desktop replacement.
Horses for courses I guess. The price seems good but is it another one of their "Product is currently unavailable" jobbies though. The goods just never seem to present themselves, do they?
Acer don't seem to have a "reliable" track record from what I hear/read but then hey, what manufacturer does - when you dig down deep!
I'm after a Dell, personally........
