How Much Have You Saved Today?

Options
Hi all,

I thought it might be worth starting a thread to see how much moneysavers are saving each day - to run alongside the excellent 'How Much Have You Spent Today' thread.

This might inspire everyone and keep us all going to save more and wallop the debt into orbit :T

My first ones to start:

In Superdrug today I got 12 rolls for Andrex for the price of 9, and this was then discounted even more to just £2.61. I think the original cost was £3.25 or something.

I then used my Superdrug 10% discount to get an extra £0.26 off = £2.35 for 12 rolls of premium toilet roll!

So I reckon I saved £0.90p in all there!

Then Sommerfield has an offer on Fairy washing up liquid, normally £1.03 each, right now it's £2.00 for 3 - so I saved £1.09 there!

£1.99 savings today :T

Please add your comments - it will be a great savings log for us all!

Please mark your total amount saved in BOLD clearly for me to easily add up at the end of each month...

Well done - I think it's so motivating and I plan to log my savings right here - maybe you guys can do the same as and when you make a saving - I can then add up the total each month as long as each post indicates the exact amount saved?

  • I saved £16 by buying the children's trainers from the Clarks factory shop. Well worth the petrol.

I saved 1.20 by putting back a magazine in the shop ( does that count)

I transferred 550 from my interest free overdraft to my fee charging overdraft, so I reckon that will be something like 8.00 saved, this and every month
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I saved about £5 because my friend paid for lunch and we parked for free and walked about a mile to town - so money saved and feel slightly better for getting a little exercise. :T

Saved 30% on a Dymo LabelWriter 400 from Euroffice, using the First Order code. Therefore got the labelwriter for £65.90 :-)

    That's about all for today.
