Hi all,
I've heard that you're not happy with the board name, so I've set up a poll! Please let me know what you think by Monday morning!

I'm happy with Silver Savers but don't mind it being changed if that's what others want.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Happy with the existing one - it covers both categories and is perfectly clear.
The status quo should be an option, thus I haven't voted.0 -
Puts hand up. Please miss, I moaned about the board name.
Over 50's does it for me because I have no idea what a Silver Saver is......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I think.......more people at the younger end of the "Silver Savers" spectrum would benefit from viewing the board, if the name were changed to simply over 50's........
Certainly for over a year I've never bothered to look as I've perceived it as being for older retired folk. However, I've found discussion on topics particularly relevant to the over 50's age group, in my case aged parents, particularly useful and I'm sorry I didn't chance upon the board earlier.
Sorry, regulars! I didn't mean to rock the boat.0 -
Silver Saver for me, too.
Thanks for asking us.

In a nice way - I don't care about the name, I'll go along with everyone else. May I also suggest, perhaps the 'YOOF' element would like their own board too? They could compare phones etc etc and do what they do?
Proud to be 50 this year! Not quite sure how it happened etc etc ....

There should be an option for don't give a toss.
Maybe there is - not voting?0 -
Better than Silver Savers (it's obviously not clear what this means, as it has to be explained already in the forum title) might be 'Mature Moneysaving' or 'Senior Savers'.
At least they are to the point, albeit both rather lack oomph.
It's hard to get a broad enough title for a forum which ranges in topics from zappy ideas to blow the kids' inheritance to ways of stopping parents being ripped off by the Government when they need care.Trying to keep it simple...0 -
No real problems either way for me either wayEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
