Buffy Cracks the Egg Diary 2010

Well I just now paid off the balance of my last CC bill. It was mostly Christmas spending and I had saved for part of it (and I must remember I owe my sister some money too) (thank God for online banking, just paid her!!). January will be a tight month!!

So the debt I have left is my Egg loan this stands at 11,256 at the moment - it will go down by 448 in a few days but you get the idea.

I could have been debt free a lot sooner but to be honest I let work get me down massively, (it still does) and really took my eye off the ball.It just made me deeply unhappy and I spent to compensate, I didn't add to the debt tho. But all being well I should be debt free by October.

This year has not been all bad, in fact many good things have happened.

1. I met my friends from the Daily chat thread.
2. I got through a very hard time at work
3. I got back in touch with an old friend
4. I have paid off the Credit cards (first time since I was 19!!!!!!!)
5. I walked a 10 km race (with DC people)
6. I had three weekends away
7. My friends both had babies! (one had twins!)
8. I am doing better on the organising front(the conservatory is tidy!!)
9. I made a start on the garden.
10. I have some truly amazing friends both on line and off line
11. I have learnt loads - who my friends are and how I feel about my life.

So much has changed it is difficult to write it all down with out sounding like a I have swallowed a self help book! I do know I am stronger then I thought and Know I must take control of MY LIFE and my time.

So the aim is get debt free as fast as possible in order to make sure I can leave my job asap. Meanwhile I will be better at work and not give them a reason to pick on me. It is very difficult there but I shall work hard and pray. alot.

Challenges I have joined!

1. Pay off 10,000 in 2010
2. Pay off 20,000 in 2010
3. Make 10,000 out of 100 (on up your income)
4. Live frugally (on how much have you saved) (budget £6000)
5. All the Sealed pot challenges!! I run the £2 one this year! please join!

There were others............I will add!!

Any how, aims for January,

1. Don't use the Credit cards,
2. Complete the walking DVD each day.
3. Do not go over drawn
4. keep a spending diary and a food diary.
5. Do WW from the 4th - Haven't forgotton Spud!!
