Are sellers allowed to do this?
I can't post the link beacuse I'm new so the item number is 320399217965
which is add postage in their description even though it's meant to free?
sorry I know this is a really simple question but I tried to search for the answer but couldnt find it :S

No they are not. If you bought the item you can refuse to pay it. and just pay the original cost.0

Also, why is it always the high chargers that are unable to understand basic rules. this clown wants £3 for a DVD and if you want it sent insured it is an additional £4.99
It would almost be kinder to put the seller out of their misery.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It would be interesting to see if anyone buys it. I am tempted but no way would I pay for postage so would feel sorry if won at £0.99 as they would be out of pocket.0

Out of cruelty I have tried reporting a few of these but random things seem to be happening.
Example, item # 230358466599, appears to be Free P&P but in the listing it states "£1.25 POSTAL UK". I reported this on Sunday but it is still there. The seller has a few like this
Other items have gone after reporting. Does anyone know anything about how eBay act on these reports? Do they wait until the item has got a few or do they act on the first? Another thread had one of these and many of us reported it and it was gone in no time....I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -

Only in accordance with ebay rules is he not allowed to do it, it doesn't give people the right to buy the product and refuse to pay and expect that they will get the item.
as ebay themselves say, bidding forms a legally binding contract of sale and indicates you agree to the sellers terms, therefore, against ebay rules or not you agreed to pay the added postage by bidding, so if you refuse to pay the charge expect the seller to refuse to ship.
of course you can blackmail them with the threat of a neg but why not just buy elsewhere and not cross the line into feedback blackmail?
When will people on these boards stop telling readers that if a seller breaks any ebay rule they are entitled to blackmail them or exploit them to get goods cheaper, you are not, if you see a policy breach you are entitled to hit the back button and not buy and if it really upsets you that ebay are losing some fees you are entitled to report the listing, the seller will get his listing pulled and most likely revise it to include the postage plus associated ebay fees and then you can rest happily at night knowing that the next time you or anyone else buys from this seller you will pay more for it, but at least no one will be breaking ebay policy.
Don't get me wrong he shouldn't be doing it, he's an idiot to not just put the postage in the sale price (or did we think if it was not being added after the sale it wasn't being added at all?) but does that give anyone the right to buy and refuse to pay? NO!0 -

What do you get out of reporting these listings? Ebay get more fees by forcing the seller to include the postage so i'm sure they appreciate your efforts, but what do you get out of it? i'm just curious as to why anyone would spend their time looking for these policy breaches and reporting them.
Do you just find it fun? or are you in competition with them?
It's always baffled me why people do that, unless there is some underlying motive it just smacks of telling tales out of school, seems a bit childish and pointless, (just my opinion)0 -
I bet those sellers would be the first to run crying to ebay if a buyer was bad enough to leave them a neg for breaking the rules.
This sort of seller basically bans themselves from ebay anyway, they will either get negged right left and centre or have so many listings pulled that their expanded dashboard will turn scarlet.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No one is refusing to pay though, as you say ebay claim that bids are legally binding and that applies to both buyer and seller. Therefore if i bought a 99p item with free postage shown clearly as 'free' when I check the post and packing box the seller is in breach, not me, if he refuses to send it.
I am at liberty to ignore any inpassioned plea for more postage because big bad ebay won't give him an unfair advantage on all those other sellers who comply with the rules. He can put what he likes in his auction terms, I'll stick with my legally binding bid of 99p and FREE postage thank you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The terms you ultimately agree to are the sellers terms not ebays enforced/suggested terms because you are buying from the sellers business not ebay.
Always got the neg to fall back on though eh.
Welcome to the how to blackmail on eBay board MSE users.
 Why not just advise people to buy elsewhere?
Yes its a policy breach, yes you can report it no you can’t blackmail him for your personal gain! Unless you’re happy with the label, scammer.;)
That’s my view.0
