Hi Ladies (and any gents whose partners are in this position IYSWIM!).

As promised, here is the thread for those of us who have 'graduated' from the '12m+ TTC' thread, and want somewhere to have a natter, moan or share our pregnancy stresses and worries!

In the true spirit of MSE - please include as many Pregnancy Money Saving tips as possible!

Dear Board Guides - We are of course aware that there is already an 'MSE Pregnancy Club' thread, but several of us have agreed we find that it's difficult to fit in there for several reasons - some because it moves too fast for us to keep up, others because having been TTC for a long time or having gone through fertility treatments to get to this point, we feel that we have worries and/or issues which don't 'fit' on the existing thread. So we are hoping that you will let us keep this thread separate from the other - even if our 'members' choose to post on the existing thread from time to time as well! Thank you.

Ladies, if you want to include your EDD's in your post and make them bold I'll add them to this list!

ESTIMATED DUE DATES:

Nicki planned CS w/c 21st Sept 2009
Nottlass 26th January 2010
Somnium 4th March 2010
FairyElephant 7th March 2010
Nikabella 21st March 2010
The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"
..."Mind yer a*se on the step!"
TTC with FI - RIP my 2 MC Angels - 3rd full ICSI starts May/June 2009 - BFP!!! Please let it be 'third time lucky'..... EDD 7th March 2010.

    'Morning Ladies!

Well I had a busy weekend - friend had an engagement party and we helped with setting up gazebo's, furniture etc, and I had my best mate with my gorgeous godson (3yrs 3 months) staying with me - so house was chaos! He has so much energy, I don't know how I will cope if I have one like him!!!!! She is expecting again (22 wks now), and is one of the few people who knows about us, so we had lots of baby-chat!

KT1985, I'm about 8 days being you! 7 wks today. I'm a bit more realxed about it now we had the scan last Thurs and know that there is really a baby there (and it has a heartbeat!) - looking forward to this Thurs now as they are doing a follow-up (trying to check what happened to emby #2 - given my history there's always a concern of another ectopic) but I am trying not to worry about it - looking at it as another chance to see 'blob' and especially to see the flickering heartbeat - I was a bit too shocked and emotional last week to take it in!

Somnium - good to 'see' you! I'm v.tired too, and a bit headachey, but apart from a couple of bouts of feeling nauseaous at the w/e (was not actually sick though, thank goodness) I feel OK actually. Could do witjhout the stress of this redundancy-thing, but trying not to let it bother me too much!

Hopefully Nottlass & Nicki will be along to join us soon, and really hope that the others from TTC 12m+ get here soon too!

    All the best,

    FE

    I'm here! :hello:

I noticed that on the main ttc+ thread, after we opened a new one with a graduates list at the front, that some of the girls who haven't had their BFPs yet, have been quite a bit more upset than normal, and also feeling more sensitive about the number of pregnant women who are around them. Not helped I think by a few newbies who joined the thread just to post they were pregnant after trying for a while. I know that all the girls there are happy for those that they know who have finally got here, and like to hear from us now and again but maybe we should try to be extra careful at the moment not to make things worse over there? I remember how upsetting it was back in the day to have to be pleased for others when hurting so much for your own situation.

Otherwise, today is the first day of the summer holidays for DS1, and DD breaks up on Tuesday. I am 30 weeks this week, and not specially looking forward to six and a half weeks of mayhem, particularly if the swine flu advice for pregnant ladies remains not to travel by public transport or go into crowded places, and especially not if the government do decide to shut all the schools for September too, as was reported yesterday! My current game plan is to get them both back at school in the first week of September, have a week to tidy up the chaos they'll have left, then pop junior out mid to end September :D

    Hi Nicki,

That's just what I was thinking, so thought it would be good for us to have somewhere else to have a natter! Also, I for one can't cope with the main PG thread - I don't always get a lot of time to read and post, and it goes so fast I can't keep up!

I noted the advice for PG women re Swine Flu had been updated. Tricky isn't it? One minute they are telling you all this - then the next they say - 'just behave as usual but be aware of the risks' - so do they want us to change our behaviour as per their advice or what?!?!

One thing I am a bit happy about is that I found out when I went to the Early Pregnancy Clinic at one of our area health-centres last Friday that it is becoming the local 'Swine Flu HQ' so all the services which had been centralised there are being devolved out again to the smaller health centres and GP surgeries...happily this means that I get to see midwives at my local health centre/GP's, which is walking distance, rather than having to travel to the other one, so a result for me at any rate!

I don't think they have too much experience with IVF ladies though - I was trying to fill in the preliminary forms, but they are totally confused as regards my dates! Good thing I have done all my research - I ended uphaving to tell them my EDD 'cos they couldn't work it out LOL!!!!

I hope I didn't upset anyone on the other thread- I had been following it for so long and just wanted to say how helpful it had been.

Had a private scan on Saturday- everything was great, even got a little 3d pic too, which is odd but lovely too.

Starting to allow myself to think about what we are going to need to buy/borrow/be given which also feels totally weird!

Tired today, and am just getting hungry...

    Found you :hello:

    Whoopee,I'm all excited - we've got a new home:j
TBH I was getting a little worried about posting too much on the other thread - I didn't want to upset anybody.

I've got my fingers crossed that we'll get lots of "new recruits" from the TTC 12m+ thread.

Have been to legoland for the w'end - had a great time & DS loved it.

In true MSE style we stayed in a £9 travel lodge room & used Bogof entry tickets !!!

Had an eventful journey home today - we had a tyre blow out,not good when you're in the fast lane on the motorway . Hit the central reservation, the car spun round twice and flew across all 3 lanes - I literally saw my life flash before me !!!

Amazingly we all walked away without a scratch. (Thank god for Volvo's )

The cars a bl**dy write off, its cost £250 quid to be towed away ,so much for a cheep week end !!!

We were only insured 3RD party F&T, so wont be able to claim anything.OH only passed his test 3 years ago so fully comp was mega bucks.
I know that the important thing is that we're all OK,but we're going to have to seriously juggle finances to finance a new car,oh well you live and learn.

Take care everyone & I'll tell you all about my mega baby bargains from the next sale.

Crikey, nottslass, that sounds absolutely terrifying. Glad everyone is OK though. good old volvos - remember the Dudley Moore film about advertising: "volvos: they're boxy but they're safe!"
