Google Street View

There is a post about it on the Techie forum but it's easy to miss (I don't really check the Techie forum too often...)
Google street view is a collection of panoramic photos of streets. It basically gives you a view as if you were walking down a given street, looking around. It's been available for a while but not for the UK. Now they released it for a number of UK cities:
Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, S!!!!horpe, Sheffield, Southampton, Swansea and York.
(as mentioned here:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandtechnology/technology/google/5015670/How-to-use-Google-Street-View.html )
Just go to: http://maps.google.co.uk/, type in the place name or postcode (as long as it's in one of the supported cities) and drag the Yellow Man (located on the left, above the zoom in-out bar) to the street you want to view. I find it fantastic and fairly addictive!
Hope someone finds it useful. I'll post it on the house buying/renting forum too as it's handy for checking out the area before viewing a house.

Oh my goodness! I've just seen my house and I live in a small town in north Scotland. It must have been taken between June and October last year. I know because we cut down a tree in June (it isn't there) asnd we got new windows in October (and it's still the old ones).0

We were doing up the house and I see rubbish lying in our drive.
I can even go round the back and see it from there. It's really weird.
