Hi
I wonder if anyone can confirm whether this tariff has a standing charge or not - it does not mention it one way or another on their website.

They have a v13 tarrif with and without a standing charge. Its listed on the energyhelpline site.0

They both have a standard charge. Only the 'non-standing charge' version disguises it as a different rate for the first 900 units.
Everybody uses at least 900 units so multiply this higher rate by 900 to find the hidden standing charge.
This is a quirk of people not understanding numbers particularly well.0 -
Is v13 supposed to incorporate the recently announced 9% reduction in electricity?0

Then what's the point of having a no standing charge option.
"Everybody"? I do NOT use 900kwh per year so will benefit by being on No Standing Charge but not with this deal as it's 32p/kwh and Ebico is 16p/kwh.
I'll stay with Ebico.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

AFAIK the prices showing on energyhelpline are the ones applicable from when the various company's price cuts are implemented (mostly 31/3)? I can't see E.on bringing out a new tariff and reducing the price within a couple of weeks but you never know when it comes to the energy industry....
Edit: Had another look at this tariff and the annual discount is impressive enough but my question is; is this paid after you've been with the tariff 12 months or is it paid monthly?Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -

E.ON's discounts are a %age of the charges rather than a fixed amount and applied to every bill/statement0 -
I am on Energy Saver v12 and, according to energyhelpline.com, v13 is more expensive...0
