Cat missing for 2 1/2 years turned up!!!!

You would never beleived it, but yeah, got a call this morning from our vet saying a lady had brought in a cat for flea treatment (she had just started to feed her) and the vet scanned her for a microchip and it was indeed my lovely Maddy

She went missing in August 2006, and we looked put up posters then finally accepted that she must have got injured and couldn't get home.

I went and collceted her straight away and it's obvious she's not been taken care of (untill recently). She is skin and bone full of fleas has a sore mouth and has lst lots of fur.

But i am sure that with all the TLc she's about to receive she'll be better in no time.

The kids don't know yet but will be delighted when come home from school.

I do beleive a miracle has happened, i adored this cat and was so distraught as where the kids and hubs. Just thought i'd share it with all you folks on here!!!!

Love sharron

  • What a brilliant surprise :)Just goes to show how important microchipping is, did you get to speak to the lady that brought her in? Would be nice to let her know that she has reunited a cat lost for so long :)

Awwww I've been having a rubbish day but that made me smile, thanks! Our cat went missing for 8 months before re-appearing - we think that somebody had cat-napped him and kept him indoors. Hope your little kitty recovers well and is with you for many happy days to come! :)

  • Yes spookeylukey i did speak to her when she was in the vet, she said she was willing to keep her as her two cats had accepted her, i said thank you but we really would love her back.

Am going to get intouch with the vet and ask if they could forward on a thank you card and pic when she's better.

Yes, how important a microchip is £15 well spent, i am just so over the moon.

Will post up a pic later on!!!!

Am thinking that she is going to be an indoor cat from now on, she's advancing in years (about 7) and i really couldn't loose her again, nor could she go through whatever she's been through again.
