What do I do now?!?

Options
Hi! I'm new to posting but have been picking up money saving tips for a while now.:D

Yesterday I ordered a pink Nintendo DS from Tesco(Jersey).com for my DD's Xmas present. It was £89.97plus delivery before I added £30.50 worth of Clubcard vouchers & entered the FREEDEL code saving £1.64 delivery. Total to pay-£59.47-bargain!:j

When ordering, I was informed that it was estimated 7 days delivery. After the order confirmation, I was told that estimated dispatch would be 24th Nov.:( Several hours later, I received an email stating that estimated dispatch would now be 3rd Dec, that they were awaiting stock from their supplier & that it was due on 3rd Dec.

Obviously, I'm not happy about this. The item was showing that it was in stock when I ordered it & it had been for a few days previous, so they didn't suddenly have a rush of orders at the very same time as I ordered, surely?!?

So, what do I do? Cancel & pay much more elsewhere(IF I can find the Holy Grail!)? If I do that, how do I get my Clubcard vouchers re-instated?

Fire off an angry email of complaint? Will that make any difference?

Or just sit tight with fingers crossed? This poses a major problem as the DS comes with nothing, the family would want to buy things to go with, but if we have to wait until 10th Dec at the earliest for delivery..to say it's cutting it fine is an understatement! Also if we wait & get an even later date....too late to get anything else!

PLEASE help! Tearing my hair out here! So much for trying to get a 'bargain' & not leaving it til last minute!!!!

Still leaves you 3 weeks to wrap it and put it under the tree.

Not with the estimated 7 days delivery on top & if they change the dispatch date again....doesn't really leave much time for the rest of the family to order & have delivery of items to go with, does it?

    very nice......whats DD mean

They sold out, whats the issue?

Cancel the order and go game them issue has a resolved status

Stock could have been sent to the direct stores

Do you know how tesco works? How do you know they had 2 left and both sold?

YES if your bothered that much cancel then go game.

If I remember correctly the vouchers are re enabled, a gift card issue or a card refund issued, its one of those.

No, and why are you going to complain? where can they pull stock out of?

urm why is it bad if you get it on the 10th?

JUST CANCEL AND GO GAME YEAH, SPEND A LITTLE BIT MORE AND STOP MOANING !!!!!!

    Read previous comments

The issue is that they had it when I ordered it but now they don't!

I was considering GAME, but because they were more expensive....

If stock has been sent to direct stores, they can re-direct it to my house then, can't they?!

And no, I have not idea how Tesco works & I didn't say anything about how many they had left, just that they had stock when I placed my order!

Thank you for answering my query about the Clubcard vouchers.

Don't I have a right to complain if I feel I have been mislead in to thinking that they actually had what I ordered, that I would get it within a reasonable amount of time & that they wouldn't keep changing the dispatch dates? They can pull the stock out of their @rse for all I care!

Like I said, it's very short notice for the rest of the family trying to buy things to compliment the DS.

And with regard to your last comment about going to GAME & spending more money... erm..unless I'm very much mistaken, isn't this a money saving forum?! The reason for me ordering from Tesco in the first place was because they were cheaper than anyone else & I could use my Clubcard vouchers against the purchase to make a further saving. If I could afford to 'spend a little more' I would've done in the first place, wouldn't I?! And I am not moaning, merely trying to get some advice..!!!!!!!

I didn't think it was relevent, but my family need to order online as they don't have easy access to shops, so I've been looking around for the cheapest prices for DS games. Amazon & Asda seem to have the cheapest in the titles that my daughter would like.
