Odd. Filled up with 45.04 of diesel using Egg Money on 26oct and today I notice an instant cashback credit of 0.90 on my account. That's 2%.

I've just noticed the same and was on my way to ask the same question.
It's something they did a while ago. Anyone know when the offer is going to end?0 -
HUKD thread has more discussion (not necessarily answers though!) here

Oo - I see you posted this over thereAsked Egg and got this reply
Egg have just introduced a new offer in connection with Shell.
It is for selected card holders only and runs from 27 October 2008 to 31 March 2009.
There are notes left on selected accounts. I can't see a note on your own account as yet but I know we are still updating.
I love Egg Money me.0 -
So if you don't get a note left, you don't get the cahsback is that right??
where will i look for the note!!0 -
Might be worth others asking Egg via a secure message (log into your account)0

I don't have a note on my account (visible to me, anyhoo) yet I received the cashback. I steered clear of asking Egg just in case this was a computer glitch..... don't want to be walking on eggshells attracting attention.
Stop by Shell. Put 10 quid in. See what happens. (No, I don't work for either party). Vague, I know..... just reporting my experience.

Incidentally, does anyone know if this applies to all purchases at Shell, or just petrol?
Obviously a 2% discount isn't much to shout about on an overpriced sandwich, but I noticed the other day at ours they are doing giftcards for other stores, such as Next and Debenhams. I presume that you only pay face value for these gift cards. So if you can get, say, a £50 Next card for £50 in Shell and then get 2% cash back you would have £50 to spend in Next for £49.0 -
Seeing as Mrs. Cheery's Christmas present includes part payment of her Next bill, I may as well try this out.0

Nice one. Come back and let us know...0

We could all try a novel idea and start asking Egg:dance:0
