    Handy that, isn't it ?
The energy suppliers are now paying less for the fuel they buy - but having panicked millions of people (gas prices to rise by 60%, etc, etc) into signing up to premium rate fixed/capped deals they are charging their customers even more.

I'm not going to say "I told you so" - but I did !

Yes, what a surprise, eh? I'll say it again, a morally bankrupt industry if ever there was one. Take care with people on here attempting to stick up for energy companies, btw. It's my belief that there are many posters on here who work for energy companies but don't make it known. Quite a few seem to post regularly during 'traditional' office hours, too. Make of that what you will.....

Shouldn't we welcome the input by Utility Company employees as they can present the other side of the argument?

Does it matter if they don't declare where they work, as long as the points they make are valid? If the points they make are not valid they will be shot down.

Or is it your wish that a discussion forum must be a one sided irrational diatriabe against the Utility companies/Government/establishment? Where any counter argument is shouted down as invalid simply because you suspect(or know) they are Utility company employees.

I welcome the input of several of Utility companies(who have declared where they work). At least they have made positive contributions to MSE over the past few years and provided an insight into company procedures, and help in individual cases.

Great...as long as you can take delivery of it at the Henry Hub in Louisiana

True, this does then serve the U.S. East Coast, the Gulf Coast, the Midwest, and up to the Canadian border, but not to the UK!

When the energy companies were whacking prices up by 35% their favourite excuse was that energy prices were linked to the price of a barrel of oil.

Well, oil prices have tumbled dramatically from their peak of $147 a barrels in July to below $100 currently.

Why hasn`t this 33% cut been passed on by the energy providers?

As for GB,he`s on his way out but he should at the very least set the competition commission onto the energy providers for a thorough investigation.
At the moment there is no competition at all between them, more like a cartel.

Of course it matters! This is a VERY influential board, if the utlility companies think it's worthwhile to ring individuals to try and get their business, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they would regard this forum as fertile customer-gathering ground! You seem to be jumping to the conclusion that I don't wany ANY utility company employees on here. Not true, some of them are genuinely helpful and their posts are informative (I am not including the ludicrous BG employee MrBlonde here, btw!). I just, unlike you, am of the opinion that as they have a vested in the industry in general and their own company in particular, I think we should at least know who they work for.

Is that Great Britain or the other fella (can't bear to say his name). It could be both because I think his policy is to completely ruin the country (whats left to ruin) so he can blame the Tories when they take over.
