Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Monday 1st Sept 08. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

got fed up tossing and turing since 5am so .... hope i don't mes this up - oh the responsibility
not much planned today other than w8rk. I had a rowette on friday just before i left with v. annoying colleague and she was taking notes LOL so i will find out today whether she reported me. Not worried as there's no basis for it but she is famous for reporting people andit will be a bit of PITA. dd(11) will wander up to her dsis when she's up for hrer last day of freedom. Wel must lay claim to the bathroom - have a good day

Morning. It's dark this morning. I guess summer is over?
I managed to get away a good time yesterday and enjoy the rain as it tipped down outside. The we went to ASDA and got lucky with loads of things reduced to 10p. Salads, spuds, veg, bread etc... So stocked up on that. Made the grocery bill about £30 less this week.
Off to work soon, when I hope to finish early as a few of us are going to Weymouth to fish in a national comp. Should be a nice day out with overnight beer etc. Hope the weather is OK.
Well have a nice day...NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
Morning Stefjb, N9eav and all to follow.
Hope it goes OK at work Stef - she sounds a right one.
Good luck with the fishing N9eav.
First time I have got up in the dark for ages. Just about to wake DD up, she had the horrible back to school feeling last night - I can remember that so well.
Hopefully will have a very productive day today, OH is taking DS to the hospital to have his tape removed then onto the barbers for back to school cut then swimming. So I have no excuse but to get loads of paperwork and probably some ironing as well.
Watched Dont Mess with the Zohan yesterday, very bad taste but very funny. OH treated us to Nando's after.
Have a great day.

Got work again today, then trip to Mr T's - hopefully I will get there after they have reduced everything I want so I dont have to spend so much!
Must be the season for annoying OH's - mine came in lastnight and cooked his own tea. Not bad you say - but what about me?? When questioned he said he thought I had already eaten.
Wasnt hungry anyway. (dont you just hate it when boys sulk???)

morning all,
Horrible day here, its raining and blowing a gale, and I have had to put the lights on this morning, I went to bed at 10 last night and slept straight through, OH bought me a cuppa in bed at 6.30, and here I am wide awake. Pain in chest is still there, and my breathing is laboured, but I am getting there, I will rest again today wont be going anywhere in this terrible weather anyway.
DD needs to sort out her school bag and make sure it is all ready for Friday, and her room could do with a tidy.
OH is working for an old chap that we both know, he is putting an extension on his house, any way OH came home with 3 corn on the cob, 2 LBS of toms, and a load of apples, from him, so tea tonight will be hm beefburgers with corn, grilled toms and wedges, nice and easy.
Stef, good luck with the dragon lady at work x
Twink, enjoy your break at the weekend x
Happy Birthday to young Master Pixie, have a good day sweetheart :T :j
Hugs to Lamewolf for today, and anyone else in need xx

Morning Guys!
Very wet and miserable here this morning.
DD back to school this morning and really doesnt want to go back. She'll be okay once she gets there. It's such a long time being away from school! She'll be leaving with OH at 7.30 for school starting at 8.
I have posted alot over the past few days as I havent been too well again. Fed up with posting how ill I feel so didnt bother:D
My helper text me last night and asked if she could bring her 1yr old. Why does this always happen to me....I called her and asked how she would look after him as Im at the hospital, but she's bringing his walker and will take him in whatever room she is in. I don't want this to be a regular thing and explained that I can't cope with a young child when I'm on a real rough day and I think she understood. OH is not happy as our house is not set up for children. I don't want to loose another helper.
I have been using the Remoska daily and the main oven hasn't been used. I am really impressed with it.
OH has been in a right state this last week as a close relative to him has now confessed to having numerous affairs and is still doing so. They had a HUGE argument last week and OH told him to grow some balls and face up to his responsibilites of 2 young children and his lovely wife!....I think his words were" Why would you give up everything you have for Pu*sy?"...I was really shocked as OH doesnt say stuff like that normally. There was also some other name calling which I cant repeat:o It's a really horrible situation and has been very unsettling for us both. You know its happens all the time but when its someone so close its horrid!
Anyway, I am rambling now.
I hope everyone is ok and Im sending a hug to all.

Good morning all - well, I just conked out for the night and then slept through the alarm so had to get up in a tearing hurry and start making sandwiches. I hate Branston Pickle at the best of times but having to deal with it so soon after waking up reminded me of having morning sickness!
Anyway, DH despatched in my car because it will save him a tenner a day while he's working an hour and a half away in Reading.
It's pouring with rain here but not cold; I think summer must be over - it's so dark and gloomy.
(((Hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin, Jayward, Chrisca, Candygirl's Dad, Essex-girl's Dad and DH, Beth and her DBs.
Churchmouse - :hello: :hello: :hello:
RedRuby - hope the tablets are doing their job and that you are feeling a lot better today.
Well, I suppose I'd better get on and get some chores done. I'll call back later.
