If your internet on a certain computer went down on Tuesday then its more than likely because of the latest update from Microsoft. Full details HERE.
If you have Windows XP, or 2000, with ZoneAlarm, and did updates on or since Tuesday, then there is a conflict between them and here's how to fix it.
If you have Windows XP, or 2000, with ZoneAlarm, and did updates on or since Tuesday, then there is a conflict between them and here's how to fix it.
- Upgrade your version of ZoneAlarm, see HERE. If this fails, or is not an option for some reason then use one of the following.
- Easy option is to go into ZoneAlarm and lower the security level down to medium, or ......
- Uninstall update KB951748 from "Add remove programs" in the control panel and ticking "Include updates" in the top right corner.

How can I download the latest version if I can't access the net. Is my best option a system restore first?0 -

I don't see why the security level in ZA shouldn't be reduced to medium to allow you to download the update and install it? Why bother uninstalling the update for all of 10 minutes?0
