well the car business
as i said before once they found out oh was B they paid the extra £1500 to the OR so we could keep the car fair enough
but now oh feels we can't buy anything because we still owe them for the car.
rewind back to when we had our lightbulb moment jan 06
we had a mondeo st on finance so we got rid of it but we had a terrible time finding a car we wanted infact we couldn't a car we liked ( we fancied an old vectra nothing fancy ) so we bought a car neither of us liked.
fast forward back to the moment they offer to help us with the car we asked rather than paying over the odds ( adding on the £1500 that meant we would have paid £8000 for a car worth £3500 ) for a car we didn't like would they help us get another car along with the money from the OR. the answer was you've always got to have something bigger or better never happy with what you have got.
so guess what we kept the car that we all now hated
i know you're going to say its just a car but the thought of getting rid of it is all that is keeping me sane
so fast forward to tuesday this week my dad's car was in the garage getting fixed so went to pick him up and had a look around the cars and guess what there was a w reg vectra i nearly died so needless to say i took it for a test drive and loved it so got in touch with oh ( at work on rig) he sid go for it as it is less than what our car is worth ( so getting money back ) but m-i-l phoned this morning to have a go because we are buying a w reg vauxhall she is such a snob it won't run right ( it only has 40,000 miles on it ) because it is old ( only a year older than hers ) and i must be a car dealers dream to sell to . except for the fact that i was telling him about the car as i am pretty clued up. i ended up in tears because her parting shot was i thought that you had sunk as far as you can go but i was wrong.

Did you buy the car then ? If thats what you want, then its up to you.... no one else...
Im in a bit of the same boat with mine.. I had a Y reg Clio.. and PX it for a P reg Frontera.. My explination to my family was that I have always wanted a jeep and this is the best jeep I can afford.. 36k on the clock... immaculate !!
I think thats the issue when family are 'involved' My family wanted to take on the pub.. Imagine how I would feel now with not just me and OH BKY, but Mum and dad going down that route if id have let them take the pub off me !!
Did you have this really big form to complete.. a preliminary questionarre... How have you fiund it suince August... I think I feel better now its done, but am dead worried abourt the OR asking questions I have no idea about....0 -
i can't believe it i didn't mean the post to be that short my son decided to smack the keyboard lol
i phoned the court lovely lady said would you like to come tommorrow............i said could i come at the end of the month as i haven't filled in the forms yet!!!
I need to make a declaration to equifax - just hope that this gets done in time as my OH has nothing to do with my debts and it is only me going BR, and so he would go mad if there was a connection and he lost his car.
Sarahcoupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there(meaning under the buggy lol):D0 -

As long as you have never paid anything towards the car, not registered to it or not joint on any finance to it. then there will be no connection, dont worry.0 -
looking back over statements and all, when he brought his old car because his funds were not cleared in time i paid 4500 on my cc he gave this straight back and i paid 2000 off on the next statement this was feb march this year, off course the OH did not know about my problems or my debt back then, so although he gave me the money back the rest was flittered awaycoupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there(meaning under the buggy lol):D0

sandralovescats wrote:Well, since your end of year 2006 statement is due in to the Inland Revenue, yes that is a good idea.
Your income is your drawings + your net profit = £24000 per year
Hi Sandra,
Just a minor addition to your recent post; a sole trader or partnership's drawings are taken out of profits. If ataction's profits for the year were £15,000 then that is his/her income. The £9,000 taken in drawings means that he/she has another £6,000 to draw from that year's profits.

I've had lots of advice on forums and from Payplan via email over the last couple of weeks about going bankrupt and everyone seems to think it is the right thing for me to do. What I want to know is:
1. Will the judge expect me to have spoken to someone directly over th ephone/in person about this?
2. How much can I expect to pay back from my wages? I earn 1361 a month and pay £535 into my IVA
Thanks
I don't know if they ask if you have taken advice re bankruptcy. Considering you already have an IVA, I don't think you would have a problem.
Read message #135 - it lists the repayments (roughly) for the IPA, after all outgoings are accounted for.0 -

Anyone willing to share their outgoings list of figures so I can get some sort of idea what the court will accept as reasonable?0
