Imogen sleeps in a vest (with poppers) and long-sleeved PJs plus has a duvet - the same one she's had in the summer. I tend to adjust what she's wearing rather than her covers. Although I do have a throw on standby for when it gets really cold. She is nearly 2 though () and will tell us if she's hot or cold.

OH dropped her at nursery today and she spontaneously said, "Bye Daddy, see you later. Love you," How sweet is that?! When he picked her up she looked up and said: "Oh, it's my Daddy!", ran over to be picked up and then, from his arms, told all the other kids that he was her daddy (implying he wasn't theirs, so get your mits off!). She's big on things being hers right now, but it hasn't extended to us until today!

aww Lu thats so sweet! I wish Christopher as so nice, he almost constantly demands "huggies" but if Me or daddy ask him for a huggie he looks at us like we're crazy and runs off shaking his head furiously and shouting no no no no no noooo!
He did make me proud today though as we were at my mum n dads and he didn't eat much tea as he's got a cold I asked if we should give the left overs to Meggie (the dog) and he said "no, meggie asleep" coz a bout 1/2 hr earlier he wanted to go out and play with them so we told him she'd gone to bed early to keep him inside. I coudn't beleive he'd actually listened to what we said and remembered it

I'm a bit jealous it was him and not me! But yes, very heart melting! How are you feeling SB? Not long now, can't believe how quickly that's come around!

Sami-Bee - I think they do it to trick us! Imogen's constantly coming out with stuff unexpectedly. Her latest is, "right now!" which tends to be accompanied by a stamp of her foot and (what she thinks is) a stern look. I can hear myself in there somewhere, but can't remember saying it to her often :rotfl:

hehe I know what you mean whenever I say "Christopherrr!" before I can tell him off he scrunches up his eyebrows, shakes a pointed finger at me and says "your naughty" it kills me trying not to laugh!

ooh just remembered and have to share; today I was sat on the computer and Chris came to me with his pincer finger tightly closed with his thumb, grabbed my hand with his other and slapped what he was pincering in my palm - that thing he had was a big bogey! thanks son lol

well I asked about getting infacol on prescription at the gp surgery today, and my old fart of a gp said he 'doesn't believe in it'... ie won't give babies any meds for colic, and that was that. So i rang up my husband to tell him, and he went and rang up and asked to speak to the manager of the practice. The gp told us to wind him (well obviously we do that)... my hubby said we do but hes in pain and wont stop screaming etc...'well do it for longer'... response from hubby 'how long for? as we keep trying'.... as long as it takes.... flipping heck i cant have a screaming baby in pain all day and night because my gp doesnt beleive in giving babies 'drugs'. The gp came out with some cr ap about when he started being a gp so many years ago colic didnt exsist and babies shouldnt take drugs! he obviously hasnt had to look after a poorly baby with colic then!!!!

I'm so annoyed with the doctor, he has done various things in the past that have slowly been peeing me off so i reckon now is the time to swap gps and see someone else. (he told me there was no way i could be pregnant...god knows where elliot came from!!).

Why do other people get things like infacol free on prescription but i have to pay?? im putting in a complaint before i swap.

  • Hope the interview goes well Baybee.

Keelykat, I think it depends on your area if they run that scheme - ours doesn't.

Can someone tell me why I spent several hours this afternoon shopping for non-E no treats for the trick and treaters next week? I just think I feel less guilty for giving sweets that aren't dreadful. (Home bargains have some fruit lollipops with natural sugars and colours for 49p and some hula hoops tortilla nacho flavour crisps with no additives 49p for 6; I also got several packs of 18 boxes of sunmaid raisins for 99p ).

Baybee - hope your interview went well. Don't forget to update us!

KeeleyKat - I'd e-mail your local patient liaison services (PALS) and NHS trust to complain and definitely focus on the stuff he has been proved wrong on - your pregnancy being a cracker! You could even ask to see your notes, you'd be well within your rights to.

J's OH - they are getting fruit from me. Like it or lump it. Thought about getting some of those small satsuma things. It's not just you!

Peace reigns here as OH has taken Imogen to the supermarket to get some milk. She refused to wear her witch outfit today to show OH's 96yr old Nan, contrary little Mary! She's only had 10 mins sleep, so we're in for a bumpy ride. Monkey Puzzle book again tonight I'll bet. We've read it for 15 nights straight now and she finishes every line. I may as well let her read it to me!
