    Right, wake up time LPS:

    1. When is your phone contract up for renewal? Virgin do some very good offers at the mo. Use this website for offers from all mobile compaines and change it. You can keep your number if its that important to you.
    2. When you are looking for jobs do not tell them that you are only looking for the summer. You are looking for "long term permanent work". You can resign later when you need to giving a week or moth noticedepending on the contract.
    3. Car boot sales - you must have some friends/other family with cars. Stop making excuses and do it.
    4. Bus fares into town - do you have a bike? If so use it, if not borrow or even buy a second hand one.
    5. Go to bed earlier and get up earlier. It might take a while to do but you will get there in the end. You need to be brght eyed and bushy tailed when you do a walkabout looking for work.
    6. See if you can stay at a friends/family for cheaper rent. I know your rent is £150 at your mums but you are not really obliged to be there are you. Her problems are hers to sort.
    7. Ebay etc. Set up new aco!!!!s.

Sorry I sound harsh but sometimes people need a kick up the bum to get a proper reality check.

Good luck with it, I;d like to come back here in a week and read you have another job.

My contract isn't up till November, i already know the next phone i am going to get, as my whole family are on virgin, except me. It's an £18 a month, unlimited texts and 500 mins plan.

My cv i've been handing out only says that i am currently working in morrisons but am only getting 9 hours a week, and after just finishing college i am looking for more hours. It says nothing about me starting uni in september, as i was going to try and get a better job then say i applied through clearing and got in.

The only other person in my family with a car is my dad, who i don't talk to. I only have a handful of friends, and none of us are remotley intrested in learning to drive, so none have a car.

I don't have a bike, and at this moment i cannot afford to buy one, as i am living off £25-£30 a month at the moment. Plus it takes an hour on the bus into the city centre.

I did go to bed early, and get up early when i had college, now it is the summer hols i don't really need to. I have alot of trouble sleeping.

The only nearby family i have is my grandpa, and he only has a one bed house. My best friend wants me to move in with her when her flat mates move out in September, but i have already told her i can't afford it, as rent on her place is £600 a month, then bills and food on top of that.

I've had about 5 ebay accounts in the past year, and they have caught me out all these times trying to sell items. I tried to make a new one today but they ask for a home phone number to verify your account, and since they already have mine they know it's me, and i can't set up a new one

for surveys join yougov and go to google type in banner for pinecone and click on the second one down (amylynn.org......) and join the UK site. this is the best survey site there is. You really need to change the way you are thinking though, stop coming up with excuses. every little thing helps. Must say though if your mum is so much debt she is worse off than you yet still persuades her partner to get a car for her on credit then I am not surprised your money knowledge is a bit muddled.

Thanks, i have signed up for pinecone and yougov

If no one can make any suggestions that you can do then you are going to start having to contact your creditors and asking for payments to be deferred/look at bankruptcy.

How do you know that your hours at Morrisons will never go up? Someone might go off sick. You are very defeatist. People are trying to help you but you find an excuse for everything.

    Good luck.

Yet again you are dismissing everything without even considering them. Take your first point, you already know the next phone you are going to get. A contract is cheaper if you actually stick with the phone you have, plus even now you could phone your company and ask if you can move to a different tarrif, maybe even one that is a little bit more than your current tarrif but gives more minutes and texts so you never go over the top, at least you know what you are paying for each month. In fact why arent you even considering pay as you go? They have great deals on these now.

You may only have to go to the city centre once to visit agencies then request interviews places convenient for you. Your mum drives, does she never go into town and could drop you off?

your problems sleeping aren't going to get better with you being up until 3 and then going to bed. How are you going to cope if you are offered a 9am interview? Most job searching needs to be done during working hours, you are wasting time. I spent a year not being to work due to health problems and like you I was going to bet at stupid o clock and then sleeping until about 12 and I got into a routine which was no good for me. If you want to work, you need to live like you want to work.

How many times have you taken peoples money and not sent the items? There are other places to sell.

I have been told i will not be getting any more than 9 hours a week by the store manager. I am even being moved to another department because of the fighting between me and my manager.

My mum doesn't mind dropping me off at work now and again, but the city centre is too far away for her, she never goes into town. If she needs to buy something, like school clothes for my brother, she goes to a shopping centre 5 mins away from us.

As for my phone, i don't know what the next highest tarrif is on my phone, or what i'd get for it. But im sure you can only change your tariff once every 6 months, and i have already moved it down a month ago, so i will need to find out about that

I know it seems like i have an answer for everything, but its because i've already thought of all these ways of try to save/make extra money

can you tell me the name of the place where the shopping centre is where your mum goes. I am going to look for something there which may help.

and no, if you tell the telephone company you are struggling they should let you change..
