Just a thought folks, what about 'Trading standards', wonder if they can be of any help at all if everything else exhausts ?
What do you think tiggrae, Marshallka or anyone ? lol.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I won't qualify for legal aid, wish had done this while was still a student!
Is there any option before Court? I looked at Court costs but can't work out how much it could cost
Also, the bank says I have 8 weeks to respond or my case will be closed. Should I write to them and if so to say what?! I am sorry I am so clueless. I have read up on this as much as I can but there isn't really anything that applies to my circumstances.0 -
Another thought.
I informed them 4 months in that I was not in employment and was once again a student. I didn't finish paying it back til 2005. Is there any grounds to challenge it on that basis within the 6 year limitation or does it simply go back to when you signed the agreement?0 -

Hi hun,
They will take the full income into consideration, I am not too certain of court costs myself as I've not got that far myself yet, but its well worth ringing them (CLS), because this may differ to what is stated online.
Yes write to the bank and still mention you will take further action if they will not uphold your complaint.;)
There are also 'no win no fee basis' but I'm not sure if this would be the right way about going about this.
I do also know going by what others have said that going to court with this sort of thing is not as bad as what we think.;)
You may even possibly get a discount through the CLS, they will tell you more.
So yes continue to write to the bank as you will need a final response before taking further action.
Good luck.
Di.

Maybe well worth mentioning about this on the letter too hun, it will all help.;)
It will do no harm in trying.

Hello I need help reclaiming my PPI from Beneficial Finance
I took out a loan in 2000 and I believe the PPI was mis-sold to me and I have a good chance of reclaiming because
1 The sales staff did not once mention I was getting PPI as part of the loan package
2 You can’t claim if you work part time (which I do)
3 The option to take out insurance is electronically ticked on the credit agreement
Now I have written to Beneficial twice about this each time asking for them to cancel the PPI and to give me a full refund each time they respond with the same letter saying they are looking into it and will get back to more shortly its now been 7 months since and still no response and I’ve even tried ringing them and sending more letters but had no luck there.
I tried the ombudsman route but they keep saying I need to give them more time to respond but it’s been 7+ months so I guess they are no help either
my only option is court action now
can anyone help me draft a final letter to beneficial to let them know I am planning court action?
Thanks0 -
