Hey Dustykitten - great idea, I do this too. Hope DS won't turn into a clean freak! I've already got him mopping the kitchen floor which he loves and he's only 3!!

Don't worry all good habits go out of the window as they get older but my eldest does enjoy cutting the grass now. Took a group for cooking in school today and it was interesting that the 2 girls were keen to wash up, wipe the table etc and the boys did everything in their power to avoid helping at this stage - not being sexist just interesting (one of the boys was mine!). My DS3 who is 4 loves mopping too - the wetter the better as far as he is concerned. Night DK

foreverskint - love your idea re the ironing! tried it yesterday and I think it really does make a difference. Yesterdays wash was tea towels (which I don't iron!) so hopefully I can catch up even more today.

Very proud of myself as this morning I took a load of laundry down with me when I got up and put it on straight away. It had finished before it was time to take the girls to school and I managed to hang it out too! Now if only I'd done my bedtime routine and sorted out the kitchen I would be way ahead of myself.

Going off in search of discounted school uniform in Sainsburys today.

    Hi all,

Despite motivation issues, i got 'the usual' done last night

    DW
    WM
Clothes folded and *most* of them away
Kitchen surfaces (I haven't got a shineable sink)

    Also
Swizzed and whizzed the bathroom (sink and shower screen) - that made me feel a bit better, thanks to the dynamic duo (SD and MF cloth!)

Today I may give it a bit more gusto
    Usuals, plus
Tackle admin (tax form, car tax, insurance form)
damp dust (thanks, ladies!) lounge & comp. room
Kitchen table hotspot - which hasn't been lately......

    Fly on, all!

  • Hello,

i am off work today sick, have an awful headache and was sick in the night. Not nice. Just pondering on some light tasks i can fit it today.

    - Gotta muck out the rabbit, even if its just a quick scrape and replace.
    - Put Ironing away
    - Sort out dd's wardrobe, i swear half the stuff doesnt fit her!
    - Try and sort out old, broken grown out of toys in living room.
    - If i haven't died by this time i will go through dd's toy cupboard i don't think she's even opened it since i redocorated months ago!!!!

That will def do me. I prob won't do any of it and may just sleep lol.
