    Good morning everyone,

I've had quite a few busy days here and when I've come on here to browse been too tired to post or odd times and nobody's around. ;) It's a bit lonely on here when everyone's asleep. :D OS returns home tomorrow. DH has to go to the hospital for scans in the morning so I'm going in with him and doing some grocery shopping on the way.

Found a recipe for Eggplant Chutney so I was going to do that tomorrow but might not get a chance. Will probably do it over the weekend. XDIL & DGS will be moving out over the weekend. I will miss DGS a lot but I'd say he'll be up for part of the day most days. Got our phone bill today. It's $40 more than usual. Ho Hum. Good ol XDIL. Sneaky cow. :D

Special thoughts go to Tired Mum & Pen Pen.
    Happy Birthday to Miss Pooky.
(((hugs))) to those feeling ill or kids been sick & good luck at the dentist Roz. I'm glad it's you and not me. :D

Well off to have a bit of a surf and then do some more knitting and watch telly. I forgot how relaxing knitting was. It's even inspired me to finish off the tapestry I started years ago. But not quite. :D

Shez I think you should carry your mum's bags. It's a long way you know. Then you can come and visit me. :T

Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Hi charlies_mum,

I think donny-gal must have been typing at the same time as you so I've merged both threads together.

:hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: Hi everyone. Oh how I have missed my waves. So here is an extra lot to you all.

Well after much researching/investigation and tryin to ascertain cheapest options we were connected here in Spain to the telephone nad internet last night. Could not believe it as we only ordered it on Tuesday and 2 men arrived at 9.10 p.m !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and left at 10.35!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! p.m. We were amazed and delighted and it is good to be back in touch with everyone.

It is hard to beleive we have been here for over 5 weeks already and of course I send special wishes to all who have been celebrating whilst I have been in communicado. Also gentle thoughts to all those who have been sad, unwell or just fed up.

Wont go into all the details but Mr Chalky has settled really well into retirement- Thank God and we have had the most wonderful time doing simple things like walking and discovering. Trying very hard to learn a little Spanish but it is hard. I am doing all things in a MSE way and 3 fruit marmalade is on at this very moment -- all fruit donated by a kind neighbour. Not very econimical to have coffee out but at least you get to save the sugar and it all goes in a pot for the marmalade!!!

Very little evidence of Christmas here which is VERY relaxing. Absolutely no manic spending and just 1 trestle table in the supermarket in the village with some chocolate and Turron on.

I am just going to go onto Delia online and try and find the recipe for Mincemeat from her winter collection and then I can get all the fruit at the market tomorrow and give some jars to our neighbours

Will see you all soon. Hope Donny Gal enjoyed her trip. I shall look forward to a wave--- still a sad person!!!! Have good days
Try and do a good deed every day.

Good luck at the dentist Roz.
PenPen...I hope you managed to speak to your friends.
Pink....Remember if your windows are that bad people can't see in so I'd leave it if I were you and then you don't have to bother with the other housework either. ;)
Nelski...When I told you to put down the Flash I din't mean abandon the housework altogether. :p

Well the girls are back at school :j :j :j :j (I mean, oh how sad I am to see them leave this morning) :o:D One more fight and I was going to explode. They are better but have lost weight so I need some good "stick to your ribs" stews made methinks.

I'm in the office [STRIKE]Skiving[/STRIKE] working very very hard. Need to leave early to go to the bank and pop to Mr T's before parents' night at 5pm.

No idea what's for tea. :D

My head is mince as I've had another disturbed night. Our 2 cats sleep at the foot of our bed. One is very annoying and I pushed her off me last night. What I didn't know was that we'd been joined by a strange tortoisehell who objected to having my cat shoved in her face and an almighty fur fight ensued. Cue me running round the house with very little on, armed with a feather duster chasing this cat who was literally bouncing off the walls. :o

Never a dull moment eh? :rotfl:

    Have a good thursday everyone.

    Haribo x

  • Morning all :)

(((hugs))) to anyone who needs them today.

Not got anything on today (i mean no plans, not that i'm in the nuddy lol :rotfl: ) so i'm just browsing on here and pottering around the house doing little jobs. I was so tired this morning i could have cried when i had to get up to take DD to school :( Still waiting for my scan date to see how far on i actually am and also if its a jellybean or jellybabies - which the midwife thinks is a strong possibility  She said i'm either 8 weeks and its twins, 12 weeks and its just one or i'm just big lol. I was about 18 weeks before getting to this size with DD.

Anyway, got DD's school fair tonight, i sent her in with some fairy cakes (the rainbow ones - thanks D&DD!). Shes very excited about going to see Father Christmas, she saw him 3 times on Saturday at a church xmas fair my gran took her to and talked the poor man to death, he's probably retired now lol

B - Cereal for DD, toasted bagel with philly and juice for me
    D - Haven't christened it yet
    T - Spag bol

    Take care all

Thanks for all the support guys.

Cats are booked into a hotel for the next week. They go this evening.

I tell you I'll be so glad when 2008 starts. Has to be a better year than 2007. This year's been a nightmare - awful boyfriend who cheated and ripped me off, work issues, flats going wrong, trouble with the family and now the blimin' flood and the cats.

Oh well c'est la vie! This is my share of rubbish for the next ten years - all good stuff from now on!!

    Afternoon all,

Still clearing cupboards in the kitchen...why do I have two unopened bottles of soy sauce and two open ones, all one litre size?? Think I might convince myself to dump anything that has a best before 2005 on it!

Bread and madeira cake made...weighed out double amount of flour by mistake so added milk and made 6 muffins as well.

Paid my car insurance...pleased that it is only €277 this year.

Had my bank account unlocked...tried to log in on Saturday and managed to mistype something so it will be ok in an hour or so.

Had a phone call from a cousin last night to say that his 44year old EXDIL has had a brain haemorrhage and that they are about to switch off life support...devastating for her 3 children and family...apparently no prior problems or symptons.

Hugs and many kind thoughts to all who are suffering in any way...seems to be a bad time for bugs atm. Hope that all recover soon.

Nice to see you back Chalky.
