Have just tried this morning to access the TalkTalk website to join up and receive the £100 cashback via Quidco but apparently the site is currently "unavailable" - hope it comes back up again before the 1st August deadline!0

I once signed up for talktalk and after 18 months, left as soon as I could. It was not worth the savings! They took 9 months to get me online and that didn't last long! Bills were continually wrong! Shockingly bad customer services! When I left I had to pay for a new line with BT as talktalk refused to release the line! My advice would be to steer clear of talktalk and I'm not the only one, search online! If you do get involved take all names and dates/times of all contact. Sorry to sound negative but I wouldn't want anyone else to lose so much of their life on hold to talktalk!0

Hi
i have a couple of queries about this deal:
does the calculation of the broadband cost include the connection fee of £30(i think)
does anyone know if it is easy to transfer these services if u move house?
also i have never used quidco before so im gonna hav to check out what other people think of the site - can here offer offer their opinions on their reliability?
this deal seems brilliant considering how much i am paying at the moment!
thanx
I also have a query on this offer, I looked on the TalkTalk website & it quotes a £30 connection fee for your landline & if you want a wireless broadband connection another £30 for the hub. Is there a workaround on this to avoid having to pay these amounts which will obviously eat into the rewards of the £100 cashback. TIA, Skippy640 -
hi
I use the Quidco cashback site and it does work. I went thru their site to get my national trust membership and they promised me £20 cashback which I got back a few months later. It does take a while so you have to be patient but it's worth doing. If you visit there site there are loads of online shops you can go thru to get cashback.Hi

Hi,
Could someone please help me...what is the package that you sign up for as I'm being displayed two: Talk Global Evening & Weekend or Talk Global Anytime but they work out at £31.99 and £35.99 per month respectively. Is there another one that I should be selecting?0 -

probably best to check ths out before signing up guys and gals
I come across a similar forum when i was briefly with god damn awful orange and although its true people dont go on forums usually to say how great their service is - there are so many complaints about talk talk that a huge influx of people joining after Martin has told half a milllion people about this loophole is probably only gonna make things worse.

The customer service reputation of TalkTalk has improved since it launched the first incarnation of this deal a couple of years ago (it couldn't have got much worse) and it was swamped and left 100,000s unhappy.
Yet like almost every phone and broadband providers, there will be some who have a bad time, sadly it's just the nature of the industry. My view is simple, if you're going to risk bad service, which you do everywhere, you may as well ensure you're getting the best deal.

Martin, that is far too passive. Bad service costs customers in time hanging on to music on hold, waiting for callbacks from managers who won't call back and in chasing up for progress. It's grief and stress that you can do without. So, don't be so passive about it, try to minimize your risk by choosing a good company.
In fact, £100 back when you sign up ought to be something of a warning sign that the company might not be attracting or retaining customers. If anything, it looks like bait for the gullible. After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union

Normally I'd agree with the above. But then, having been with BT and Talk Talk previously they're both about as bad as each other (identical issues pertaining to billing and overseas customer service, dreadful response times, etc) so I'd have to agree with Martin that while all the players in the market are equally abysmal you might as well have the cheapest.0
