Last thursday i went swimming before work and weighed myself on the leisure centre scales, these weighed pretty much the same as the CDC's did later that evening, so i decided to allow myself a sneaky weigh in again this morning before proper weigh in tonight...
They hovered between 15stone 1 and 15stone 2... so a loss of approximately 6lbs this week i reckon....
not to say that CDC's will say that by 630pm tonight, what with water and what not throughout the day... but it has given me a boost to know that there is definitely a loss this week....
The leisure centre scales were the only scales i used prior to new year so i do believe in them, if you know what i mean, and it wasn't long ago that they said 16stone 8lbs... so 15stone 2lbs is excellent...
This has really lifted my mood in time for my proper weigh in tonight..... hope CDC and leisure centre scales agree againI'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
well i here we go then i saw my CDC this afternoon and start on ss tmw!! my target loss is 4 stone so im hoping this is the start of the new me!0

I'm a happy maz this morning, managed to lose 6lbs on CD last week....
Had a works dinner last night was really unavoidable and doesn't happen often (in fact never before) It was cause big boss from Dubai was over.....
I made some good choices i think relatively speaking, didn't take bread, didn't eat my potatoes, didn't have pudding, didn't have wine.... still had a lovely time and felt superslim.. which is mad as am still over 15 stone...! but this is the week i bust into the 14stone barrier and i am rewarding myself with a massage! Good innit!!!
Breach - Good luck for today......! Come here if you're feeling low, also minimims is a good website for loads of CD Q&A's.......
How's everyone else getting on?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Tanks very much! im a shake and a soup in so far and was supprised they taste alright tho don't know if i'll be saying that in a few weeks! i want to do ss 100% without cheating but i can see that drinking so much water is a problem, ive read somewhere that coke zero is ok can anybody confirm this for me? i know i can have black coffee but would go over the top on that as im a coffee fiend so avoiding it if i can! any thoughts would be fab!0

re the coke zero.. they say not officially, only tea/coffee/water although some people do... i think i would avoid it until you are well established into ketosis..... then try it and see how it affects you if you must do... invest in some ketostix if you can and you can assess your own self....
you can get water flavourings which in fizzy water are quite nice....
teas n coffees do not constitute part of you minimum litres of water... so you need to get the water down somehow...
like i said minimims website is good for Q&A's and official answers.....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Best of luck to you. I found the first weekend tough but get through that and you will be fine. Especially, when you have your first weigh in.
I am just starting week 4 and I love the bars, that has made the difference for me. My only problem is that I have had a busy social period with my birthday, sisters birthday etc.... so I don't feel I have given it my best shot. However, I am chuffed with the weight loss so far. I just didn't want to delay any more with excuses. So far, Week 1 - 10lbs, Week 2 - 3lbs and Week 3 - 3lbs, 16lbs in total. I have got a trip to London week after next but I just want to keep at it.What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
Anyway to update over my weekend.. well there was plenty temptation and i resisted...
Mum, Erin and myself went down to MIL's on saturday, we went to nice hotel for lunch and even though she knew i was on a diet, MIL thought i'd be okay "just to have a wee sandwich or something" however she didn't force the issue when i explained i really wasn't eating at all. So while they all ate their lovely toasted foccaia sandwiches i had a cappucino and explained to her the science behind my diet, about ketosis n all that. Talking about it was a major distraction from all their eating....!!
Then after another hour or two of trailing the shops we decided to stop for a cuppa, whereby they all had a scone. I just had a cuppa tea...
In the evening we watched a bit telly and MIL offered everyone a snack of sausage rolls.... i will hold my hands up and admit to eating one teeny tiny small sausage roll but it was delish!!
On sunday the weather was foul and we didn't leave the house... i made bacon sandwiches for Erin and Big G and resisted the obvious urge!
in the afternoon i made tea for the troops again, resisting the urge until Big G declared he would never eat that whole steak pie on his own... so i availed myself of 3-4 forkfulls of the steak n gravy inside of his pie...
naughty me, but it could have been a whole lot worse believe me!!! Ketosis was unaffected so i know i'm lucky!
Diet wise, i'm not actually enjoying any of the CD meals now, and this kinda worries me, as i'm seldom finishing any of the portions... not good as i'm probably denying my body of nutrients and likely to go into Starvation mode...
and here was me thinking i was already there!!!!!!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
I must admit to be fed up of some of the soups. Otherwise i'm doing great with the shakes and bars. Weigh in tomorrow and i'm looking forward to another loss, hopefully a big one!!!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. i ditched the soups after week 1... i am not mad about the bars either, i find them very synthetic... i need to work on some of the recipies from minimins and see if they are more palatable that way....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
