leigh -re: crb, you apply yourself online, it gets sent to you and then you forward it to TT. It is defineately a basic one so dont worry too much - nearly everyone has made a few 'mistakes' in the past, i know i have!
Auddel - you have to google 'disclosure scotland' and apply like that through them. The CRB has to be done and returned to TT within 5 weeks of employment. it costs £20 but TT refund that back to you. Disclosure scotland have already emailed me back and have said they will send me a paper application within the next week. Am pleased you are able to continue training tonight - as i said, last night was more about the client rather than the systems iyswim. lets just hope we get a coffee break again tonight. We got 5 mins last night and ive never made a cuppa so quick. might change my name to 'grease lightening!' lol.

    Hi auddel,

Thanks. So, FireFox sounds like it's fine then. I'll try again in a bit.

    specsappeal,

    You've confused me a bit!

Are you only applying for a CRB from Scotland 'cos you yourself live in Scotland - ie - I'm in the UK, so I apply to CRB in UK??

OR - Do we ALL apply online directly to CRB Scotland, REGARDLESS of where we live?!

This just seems strange, as I've just spent the last hour or so checking out the CRB site, and it seems you can't apply for the info yourself, but only through the company you're applying to for a job -

    http://www.crb.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=289&qid=443

Any pointers as to where I go to get the CRB check done would be most appreciated!

    Many Thanks x
  • we all had to do a disclosure scotland (crb)

PS - Any idea what the difference is, between the 'basic' and 'standard' CRB checks?
