    Many Thanks auddel and specs.

I'll just be completely honest with them and fess up about my convictions from the outset.

    No problem then I hope!

I think mine are spent now though, regarding a 'basic' CRB.

Will have to check this out tomorrow.

    Thanks again x

I can't get the 'MatchPoint' psychometric test screen to work!

    :-(

    Any ideas?

I'm using FireFox on my Intel iMac.

    auddel,

CRB stands for 'Criminal Records Bureau' check.

Generally speaking for jobs involving looking after children or the elderly, ie - schools or care homes, the employers will always carry out an 'Enhanced' CRB check, ie - ANY brushes with the law will show, even cautions or reprimands / warnings.

I'm not sure if traffic offences show however.

'specsappeal' - I didn't think you could apply for your 'own' CRB check, be it online, or through the mail - I thought only the prospective employer could apply for a check do be done on a prospective candidate.

Forgot to say - re - CRB checks, there are 3 levels of check an employer can carry out -

    Basic

    Standard

    Enhanced CRB checks.

Apparently this job with TeleTech requires a 'Basic CRB' check, presumably as we'll be dealing with peoples' private details.

I presume these are not as stringent, as the 'Enhanced' checks.

I'm hoping anyway, as my past is certainly not squeaky clean!

    Good Luck all x

PS I still can't get this flippin' MatchPoint test to load, in order to complete my application.. :-/

Is that the one that you download to your desktop - if so, make sure you open it from the desktop

    This is a nightmare!

    No, nothing's downloaded as such.

    Sorry I wasn't clear.

I'm completing an application for the TeleTech Home Based Customer Service rep first before I go for the 'Inbound Sales' job.

It's part 6 of 9 - you click a link, and a new screen comes up, showing "MatchPoint Fit assessment"..but the screen is blank.

Where are the 80 questions they promise?!

Am I right in thinking, that you have to be using the dreaded Internet Explorer, for this MatchPoint Fit test to appear?!

I'm using an Intel iMac, and have tried both Safari and FireFox to no avail.

Looks like I'm going to have to try IE!
