  • thanks.

i'll give it some though and i might apply - it's quite important that I can maintain a degree of contact with my family, and the hours stated are probably going to make that impossible unfortunately.

    anyway, i'll see ..

Nesting is so much better now, it was just that the first night was so badly organised. Now that it is structured and we have help at hand in the chat rooms at all times it is much better and getting easier every night.
First couple of shifts on call are always the worse, once you are actually on calls properly and aren't being pulled in and out of conf calls it gets easier to deal with and easier to support you. SUs are always available to nesters and you will have access to the help room for the first 12 weeks of calls, after that you are supported in your team room primarily.
If at anytime you think you aren't getting a fast enough response from an SU let them know, it may just be you are one of 7 or 8 agents asking for help at the same time but we do what we can.

From what I am aware you need to be available from 4:30-11 Mon-Fri.

Was thinking though, your schedule is 28 hours a week - is that something you purposely asked for since the minimum commitment is 20 hours ?

In a perfect world i'd do 10 hours over the weekend, and then something like 8-11 monday to friday

Thanks Paul the guys have been a great help in the chat the past couple of nights. What I was disgusted at is the fact we were put out there on the first night for 3 solid hours without a break from taking calls and without any support at all. The only people in the chat were the nesters who did not have chordiant id's..but that wasn't much help when we only know as much as each other.

It's done with now and we have Darrell who is excellent but a lot of us were disgusted at how Monday was handled.

It's great now though, looking forward to later!

    xx

    Hi jason
You dont really get much say in the hours they pick them for you.
We were told beyween 22 and 26 hours
One person in our group got 20 i got 23 and i know some others have about 25.
It was all done for us.
    Same as the weekend working.
I could have really done with Sat Sun mornings to work it into my family but i have afternoons.
if you say your not available at certain times there is a chance you may be told that they dont have a place for you right now.
I just agreed to it all to make sure i'd defo get a job!

Thanks again. I might say that anyway and just see what they say - i might get lucky and they might offer me a schedule i can commit to.
  • stupid question, but is the 'customer service representative' role(job code: 006ZA) the technical support one ?

it does call it a sales role, but i don't think i'd be able to do sales - i'm only good at technical support :)
  • hi melfly, i was reading that mornings would suit you better at the weekends. . . i am starting training soon so i dont know my actual work rota yet, but if they give me w.end mornings i would be happy to swap with you for afternoons would really be ideal for me! ( i think i read an earlier post which said you could change shifts if you had someone willing to swap) can i keep you in mind and let you know when i get my rota?
