  • Been called to say they have tracked my money stuck at a clearing bank ... and that using a 'swift' payment I will receive my money by close of Friday at the latest although it could be earlier - they do not have a chaps facility any longer apparently.
    Although pleased with the news I am still not satisfied with the explanation and I still believe we all deserve a honest and true reason for the continued delay.

    I hope everybody else still waiting receives good news soon.

    Just phoned them again for the sake of doing something. No wiser, the message now is that if you have had the clearing bank message then your case is being personally investigated, no promise of when funds will reach linked account. I replied that there are 500 similar cases and that this forum alone has more than 90 and then received an awkward silence. No update on the KE homepage I see, even Icesave have updated theirs!

    I have contacted the Financial Ombudsman Service and made a formal complaint against KE/ING. Anyone that has their money held up should contact the Financial Ombudsman, so that they know that THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED CASE. The Financial Obudsman will allow them up to 8 weeks to short it out. So call as quickly as possible.

    With respect, if you were to read back through this and the previous (now closed) forum you will see that most of us have already contacted the Ombudsman and all I got was "we are investigating" that was over a week ago and have heard nothing since

    Interesting, but can't be the whole story. I had two transfers, one on the 7th and one on the 8th. Both were delayed, but one (the 8th transaction) was finally received on the 17th. The 7th transaction is still missing. As these are from the same account, it can't be because certain accounts were frozen. Otherwise I should have either received both or neither. Unless of course I'm in a whole new category of people who's accounts weren't frozen but still have some missing payments.

    What the f****, I know longer care what the reason is I JUST WANT THIS CLOSED or for someone to give me a real believable explanation of when it will be closed.

    Me too BM. It's made me realise that I am not alone....a problem shared is a problem halved, so they say. I just wish someone, somewhere would tell us the truth...then we would know what we're dealing with. It's the feeling around in the dark that's so scarey.:confused:

    £20 debit for CHAPS received 27th - dated 7th on A/C
  • I've just registered a complaint against ING with the Ombudsman, on the above number. the lady I spoke to was not personally aware of this problem so a few more calls would not go amiss ? A much more stress relieving call than to the FSA.
  • I will receive my money by close of Friday at the latest soon.

    That old chestnut again..... oh what joy!
