I didn't have to get the car converted to run on vegetable oil. I have a toyota lucida diesel engine. It's 16 years old. I just pour it in with a bit of diesel.
I took MIL out in it and she was asking about the amount cause I didn't have any diesel in it. She was saying "are you sure it works?" well what had we just been driving round in? A few old diesels will run on it. Just google bio fuels or running car on veg oil.

Confession time. I went to Aldi and they had their fruit trees for £3.99 so I bought a peach and a plum. So today I spent £15.07 :o (Oh the shame!). I'll go and update my sig now.

They do have apple trees and I'm really tempted to go and buy a load but think I'd run out of garden! I already have a pear tree and don't think I can fit more than 3 trees in the garden.

well, the first in a long time, but I have had a non spending work at week and in the shops, and my OH hasn't spent anything either (which is nice :-).

this will end in about 5 mins when I have to pay for DD guitar lesson and put £10.50 in an envelope for kids circus week next week (doing it now to reduce temptation over the weekend !!) - ah well - can't be helped.

looking forward to my order from Mr T coming tomorrow with my first majorly major value food content - will let you know (via the value thread) which we liked

  • £108.63 so far in total. My monthly tesco order came today and it was a couple of pounds over the estimate even after reductions:eek: due to the only 2 weighed items, the chicken and the parsnips being much heavier than estimated.I think I have the biggest free range chicken I have ever seen and these parsnips, well lets just say I will be eating a lot of parsnip this month. The parsnips are ordered per item and I ordered 6 based on guide weight the price was just over £1.20 but these are the biggest parsnips ever,I still got 6 but they cost £3.86:eek:
    Any parsnip recipes?:o

I have also learned a lesson from last month and have bagged and hidden half of the biscuits from the vultures(kids)to be brought out in 2 weeks time if they are needed.

OOPS!!!Nearly forgot, its really £112.63 because I went into M&S just to use the loo and came out with a big tin of their family biscuit assortment:o ,it was half price was £8 now £4 and I will be able to use the tin afterwards:rolleyes: .
I feel guilty, the last thing we needed was more biscuits.I guess I still have trouble resisting a bargain:rolleyes:

    Hi all

Got to update my siggy, will prob do that on Sunday as I'm shattered today.

Mr S delivery on Monday although they forgot all my chilled stuff! So I had to wait all evening for them to deliver that, and not even an offer of a money off voucher-does anyone think that's a bit off? Usually if the order is only a few mins late they offer vouchers, but when they forget the food.... seems like nothing.

I hope you fon't mind, but I've copied part of your post for my 4k challenge thread? I think this is phenomenal! :T  Is it legal? Must go play the frugal game of Google and research biofuel now!
