Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!
Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.
THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.
Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
27 Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding 27 items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

Hello Lil_me
Totally mad week for me this week with events at school every day but i'll do as much as I can do. Monday to Wednesday shouldn't be too bad but the end of the week will be manic. Can't believe how Christmas has crept up on me though I think i'm ready apart from wrapping presents. Think I'll do some everyday to try and get them done. Saying that, I tend to buy the presents so I think it's only right that hubby should wrap a few of them - he's still hobbling after his op so I'm not holding out.
Here's to a good week for us all. Hugs xxJanuary budget

Last week before Chrimbo everyone, and will probably be another tough one for all of us to try and get everything done. I am still doing school work for tomorrow as we speak, so i am just slotting in my list quickly and then leaving you to it so i can get to bed before midnight before starting the treadmill again. 4 days and counting. :j and thursday doesn't really count as it is a collapsed day and will be really naff. No real planning for that,
Anyway,

Hehehehe I must admit LJD I thought the same as julie. why does he need his legs for wrapping! But having said that I also then thought would he wrap to the required standard?!?
DH was never bothered about wrapping although he would if I had let him and he always did a good job on my pressies. I love wrapping, DH would take the kids out of the way and leave me to it.

Found some more book people catalogues, had a nosy and have just spent £52.94 in less than 5 mins  put next day delivery as well to be sure of them getting here but ordering via quidco means I get next day for effectively £3.30 worth it to avoid that last minute stress of will they/won't they arrive on time.
Am now off to bed, see you all tomorrow. xxOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
I don't even want to think about how busy I'm going to be this week.. I have just wrapped 4 HUGE boxes of presents.. only another 7 to do now!!
I'm out for dinner tomorrow night so DD1 has to find something to wear as she is coming and I have to find something to wear.. I have a new black top.. but I think it is a bit 'grown-up' for me really!! I'll find something I guess.
Tomorrow I have to do...
WM
TD
DW
BM
hang out, fold and put away laundry.. it is drying slowly outside still.. but great for towels and jeans.. I hate soft fluffy tumble dried towels.. I like to scuff off my skin when I get dry!
Chase Play parcels.. I've still not had despatch confirmation.. ggrrrr
Money out of bank to pay for dinner tomorrow..
Put up strings to dangle cards on.
Get small chimps to write their cards for school
DD1 to wrap presents for school friends
Whizz over back room
15 minute tidy in middle room.
Still to arrive..
1 lush box
2 red house books
2 play.com parcels
1 ELC box
1 amazon parcel
*sigh* more to wrap!! lol

Only a few signed up so far, Shelley welcome, everyone else welcome back, I think this might be a quiet week for posting as last year was but I am hoping amid the chaos we can offer the fab support to each other as we always do, I know some will only read, some may not even get time to do that, but at least we all know that if we want a rant or a moan, there is always someone here to 'listen'.
Presents - Delivered my Nanas today who gave the kids another present, she's already got them one at my Mam's, she drives me mad as she buys for ALL the family and their partners, then all the great grandchidren too, and there are loads of us. I've got my Mam's to buy, waiting for the arrival of some personalised items from Studio (which they stated would arrive on time but have had to email about the fact I was charged P&P!) waiting for DPs, then I need to wrap loads!!! Oh and we've managed to get another Wii controller DPs Mam is bringing one back with her this weekwas the only thing I was short of for the boys.
We're out tomorrow night at a kids Christmas party, hopefully DS1 will go to see Santa againI want to try to get a photo this time. I do however want to get the kitchen done properly tomorrow, all levels! I am hopeful, I know it NEEDS doing, but prepared for everything else to turn my plans upside down!
Right, couple of emails to reply to then off to bed for me. Night night xOne day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me.. my kitchen is pretty revolting today too.. in fact I don't think it has had a decent clean for a couple of weeks due to the pain in my legs.. but this week I shall be running on heavy drugs and it WILL get done.. In fact my whole house is on the list to be cleaned before the fat man in red squeezes himself down the flue.. I have to sort through everyones clothes as they all (aside from DD4 who doesn't grow) have had a massive growth spurt.. especially dd2 and ds3.. dd1 just grew in the chest area!
I have only half a wheelie bin left empty this week.. and I'm not sure when the christmas collections are either so it might be pretty horrific by New Year.. praise be for real fires.. burny the paper!!!!!! I am aiming to fling a binbag a day this week I'm not fussy where too so long as more is going OUT than is coming IN!!
Bed time anyway as we have school tomorrow.. The last week of only taking 4 to school in a morning until September!! lol.. In January I'll have to get 8 children up, dressed fed and out the door to school!!!!!!!!!!
