I reckon probably all posts are missing between 0015 26-10-2004 and 0100 29-06-2007, nos 77932 to 5595739
Or they were; I haven't checked if some have been restored already.
What I'm assuming Martin means is that the restoration process can bring back old threads but may lose the newer parts of them, so would people save these.
Some of the discussion above is about finding Google cache copies of stuff currently invisible though, so I wonder if I've got it wrong.
I found that so far I could not save pages offline from Google cache for some reason, and pasted some into Word instead, but will try again. Has anyone else had this sort of issue, and did they find another way round it?0 -
Probably quite important... the site rules do not exist at all at the moment... is there any chance that these can easily be posted back up by someone at MSE towers? Cheers...0
-
I have them saved but as they will come into the pre June 2007 threads that can/will be restored there isn't much point in doing so unless there is a problem.0

Cheers Edinburghlass... no problem, just thought they should be up as they underpin the site... but like you say they should get restored...0

Now I'm thoroughly confused ...
Have only just spotted this, and I had noticed that there were some glitches on the Small Biz & Charity Organisers board, where at least one of the stickies only has a very recent contribution rather than the information they started with!
It's too late at night for me to want to do anything about it now, but if I'm right in thinking that the original posts will eventually return, I will have a look at those I started and see what needs updating.
Now rambling ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I do hope that all threads are restored as they were, as for me almost any thread over the years can have nuggets of priceless information.
Some threads have fantastic posts or posts by experts.
There are far too many threads to know which have got those nuggets of fantastic useful posts.
