Weekly Flylady Thread May 7th 2007

Options
Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread, usually ran by Moggins but I'm just filling in temporarily. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!

As promised here is the new style Flylady thread. Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement.

There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.

THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.

Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.

A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc

Nighttime routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

27 Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding 27 items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room Level One

Oh tracyg sorry to hear things aren't good today, hope it's sorted soon.

Becca hope your DD is ok, bless her

Well I need to do level 3 tomorrow, especially after the oven & batter mix disaster that's going to take some scrubbing, but when I don't know, DP has decided if it's nice we're going somewhere (forecast to rain all day) and if it rains the cinema at the metro centre to see Spiderman, oh joy!

    For me tomorrow.

Level 3 kitchen and dining room + 27 fling boogie (upstairs I think)
Study time (at least 4 hours at some point, when I don't know)
    Dailies
Night time stuff (inc sorting uniforms)
    20 minutes paperwork sorting
Meal plans - still not done, almost finished lists however, might get it done tonight.

    Hiya
I'm aiming for a level 2 tomorrow as I need to spend lots of time in the garden. DS and DD are planting loads of seeds tomorrow so i'll be doing that most of the day. Will def keep up this week though, I have to as the house isn't the best it's ever been though it's no where near as bad as it used to be. Hope you all have a great bank holiday monday.
    Take care xx

Feeling really relieved to get back to flying again this week. Towards the end of last week I fell off the Flylady wagon and so spent Saturday morning playing catchup. Exhausted myself through trying to do too much and ended up tired and crabby in the evening and fell asleep on the sofa - woke up at 3am this morning and crawled up to bed. DH said that he did try to wake me several times and I told him - not very politely, so he tells me - where to go:eek:

Anyway, no plans on playing catchup this week :D

Aww deomincangel how sweet, saying that they always say great when they walk, apart from you start to wish they'd just sit still for a minute, let the toddler chasing commence :rotfl: I had a similar problem with my DSs for shoes but the other way, DS1 was 18 months when he walked, hard to find early walkers in a size 6  , DS2 he was 2 and in a size 11  absoltuely impossible, they just didn't do them, he couldn't cope with thick soled shoes so ended up in those soft beach shoes a lot.

oldMcdonald playing catch up is banned for you from now on :naughty: you'll frazzle yourself out, everything comes back around so if you don't get done don't panic about leaving it

Shirley enjoy spending your extra money :D

LJD1 hope the weather stays ok for you, I was going to add gardening on the list for myself but the forecast is rain, rain and more rain :(

Jjef why not swap Monday for Tuesday ? That'll be the living room and seeing as you're moving everything anyway might be easier for you, up to you of course.

Hence I also find it quite strange seeing tiny tots walking as mine were so tall when they walked. DS2s feet growing hasn't slowed down either, he's 6 and in an adult size 4

Anyway, I have reorganised 3 cupboards since posting that, trying to find my BM measures, been trying to weigh it out or use the cup measure on my jug, well it's just not working, overflowing BM and ruined bread!! Still not found them, wish I wasn't so good at tidying things away :(

Right might be late but going to catch up on a few threads now the boys are finally asleep and do some studying
One day I might be more organised...........
