You can get commercial cleaners for marble maybe a local fireplace shop or kitchen shop will sell it, I got some free when I got my new kitchen for the granite worktops. However as you have posted in this section I assume you are looking for an old fashioned remedy.
I don't think vinegar is recommended for marble!!0 -

Hairspray (wipe on wipe off) and WD40 are the most common tips for most inky type things.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Thank you Squeaks :happyhear
My lovely daughter decided to draw smilies on pillars in town, got caught on CCTV  She got a telling off from the police. Me and mr troo have decided to march her down to the city centre manager and she's going to offer to clean it off. I just hope they don't insist on hiring a specialist cleaning firm and give us the billBulletproof0 -
There are a couple of other tips on gettting ink removed listed under "Flooring" and one in "Shoes" plus penmanship on "Walls" - all of which are in the Cleaning section of the MEGA Index sticky at the top of Old Style.
It might be as well to go armed with all the "possibles" ... one of them ought to work
I knew I'd seen a good one somewhere:-

If you have stains on marble, you can try covering the surface with salt. Wipe off and reapply if stain is still there. If this doesnt work, you can also try covering the salt with milk, leave it for a few days and then wipe off.0

There is one thing I didn't remember to post until after troo went off line:-
Do not use vinegar or other acids on marble because it can etch the surface.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
