Graffitti Removal?!

Helloooooo.

Got home this afternoon and found some little !!!!!! have wrote their name all over the garage doors in our street. Was an almost brand new one too... they've also heavily dinted it too.

Its black perm. marker onto a white door. We've tried acetone, lighter fluid, bleach.

Any ideas?

And dont say buy graffitti remover cuz that costs money we dont want to spend

This sounds really silly but I have heard it works on white boards when perm marker is used.

Is to write over the top of it with whiteboard pen and then it should come off.

    Worth a try.

We were going to try that as we have some white, whiteboard markers (bit pointless but they were free) so we'll give it a shot.

Ancasta, don't know if you're removed the marks now, but wondering if you had mentioned the graffitti to the police? I know, they probably won't bother to attend but you could submit photos at the police station. If similar graffitti appears elsewhere and these brats are caught then that's two crimes they can be charged with. It's just possible the police already know who these little sh*ts are - you might as well land them in trouble in return for the annoyance and inconvenience they have handed to you.

Well done on giving up the smokes BTW.

thanks all. All the marks have come off wonderfully. Used another brand of bleach and it came off a treat.

No one else has bothered to remove it... its a shame as all their garage doors were BRAND NEW... ours is about 18 month old.

If you think the "little darlings" will repeat their "artwork" - would it be worth sticking clingfilm over the door - then you could just peel it off ( and the marks with it)

Can you please tell us what brand of bleach that is?

It's a VERY handy tip for the Indexes.
