Ive got a marble fire surround and i normally just clean with a damp rag or a bit of soap but if its a really bad mark i find that one of those magic sponges from aldis (used like an eraser) is really effective. just wipe over after with a damp cloth.0

'Method' make a marble cleaner. I know because I won a huge box of Method cleaning products in a John Lewis competition and marble cleaner was one of them. The only marble I have is a hearth which isn't that badly marked. It does come up nice with the cleaner though. Wish there was some way I could email you a 'squirt' so you could try it before buying!2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

How are granite, gneiss, and marble related? I thought that granite through heat and pressure could become a gneiss and that through further heat and pressure the granite gneiss could become marble, but I couldn't find anything on the web about that process . How are granite, gneiss, and marble related?0

I've just had marble work-surfaces fitted in my kitchen, and the next day some olive oil spilled on one which I didn't notice for several hours. Now there's a stain which has resisted normal cleaning.
Do any of you wonderful people know what I can use to get rid of the stain, please?
Any hints on care and things to avoid would also be greatly appreciated!
(The marble slabs were a freebie and fitted by my son, so I can't refer back to a shop/salesman).0
