Very good work
I could not find Natural History Museum in the London list or is that considered as part of science museum.I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -
How about the Bank of England museum in London - http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/education/museum/index.htm
Only open Monday to Friday unfortunately but its free admission and they have some good stuff for kids.0 -

Tate Galleries all free except St Ives and special exhibitions.
Free daily guided tours.
Tate Modern is open late on Fridays.

Hi, What a great idea this guide is. Here are my locals to add to the list.
The Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum in Bournemouth is a fantastic Victorian house, stuffed full of treasures and best of all it is 2 minutes walk from the beach.

You've missed Wellcome Collection in London off your list.
I can't post links because I'm new, but just search 'Wellcome Collection' to find the website.
It's totally free and has changing exhibitions as well as two permanent ones.0 -
Rozelle House Galleries, Monument Road Ayr is free and has a Henry Moore sculpture to view etc. set in lovely park
free open 10-5.00 monday -sat. 2.00- 5.00 sundays

Ok, Wales is a little sparse, no?
In Cardiff you have the Welsh Folk Museum at St Fagans.
In Swansea there's the National Maritime & Industrial Museum, and also Swansea Museum.
I can't remember off the top o my head, is Y Pwll Mawr/The Big Pit free these days?0
