Hi all
I'm new to OS so still finding my way around. Decided to jump right in as we're in a significant amount of debt and savings need to be made asap :-( Today I'm going to get lots of washing done and hang out (rather than leave it wet and have to rewash!). Need to clean the slow cooker from freecycle and try to find something to make from the freezer as we're broke till payday.OLYMPICS CHALLENGE :Win £2012 in 2012: 0/£2012

Have a good day - and i'm a little excited about the dark nights.....it means Santa's coming!!
I am trying to get my planning done for mindee for November and just started on December. It's all related to Christmas and I can't wait :rotfl:
I feel the urge to listen to some Christmas music and watch The Polar Express whilst sipping hot chocolate......only it's bright sunshine outside so I guess I'd better go out and rake some leavesI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning all
MIA yest as it was DD1's 25th birthday and was helping her get ready for a "cocktail" party at her house last evening. I cooked 2 big sc full of chilli and jacket pots for later to sober them all up. It was a great night. Got home about 1 this morning so pretty tired just now, left lots of them there still celebrating. Going to go round to their house soon to help clear up. Will just let myself in if they are not up and work around the bodies! lol
((((Hugs)))) to those who need or want them - will catch up with thread (and yest thread) later

Morning all:wave:
Oh I love Sunday morning lie ins:D:o:whistle:
Well, I couldn't care less about the clocks going back:p Makes no difference to anyone here. Everyone wakes up when they usually wake up and we change the clocks in the morning. They'll all be good and tired by bedtime. Must be a nusiance for peeps who work on Sundays though.
Lovely sunny day here, might get my towels out on the line. OH is taking the kids swimming later and then to his mum's.
Lunch- not sure yet. Bacon and eggs and toast possibly. And ketchup for vitamins;)
Supper will be roast chicken etc and a fruity pud -have loads of balckberries in the freezer.
I'm so glad Jo Wood went form Strictly last night. She was really getting on my nerves. She is so wet with her dumb blonde act, makes me want to shake her. Ali danced like a dream, and I love Natalie and Vincent together- mamma mia!
Right I'm off to write my shopping list for tomorrow.0 -

I'm quite excited.
Have hung up their welcome home banner, filled the fridge and cupboards with goodies, sorted out their schoolbags for going back tommorrow and am prepping a big roast lamb for them with extra yorkshire puds (or oxtras as they call them.)
Os wise I've cleaned out the hens, fed and watered them, emptied the DW and washed a load which will have to go on the pulley as it's an awful day.
Have done the week's mealplan and we're on a bit of a budget again due to late paying clients. I must phone them all tommorrow and put my scary voice on.
Take care all

Good morning guys,
Cold, cold, cold today but at least it is sunnyI have been awake since 5.30 (**** clock change) The kids normally shift at six but it will take them a while to adjust. Early mornings are the down side of a set bedtime but I'd rather have the evenings to myself to unwind.
LO is on the mend (I relented on Monday and took him to the GP just to be on the safe side and he decided it was a cold) He has slept through the last two nights without coughing and crying :T. The other two have a productive cough now but no other symptoms.
Today's plan is to do the ironing - finished the washing earlier - blitz the house (kids are helping, allthough they don't know it yet!) touch up the paintwork in the hall area and a patch in the kitchen, prep the hall radiator and some chipped wodwork for some undercoat and gloss this evening. And if I have the energy clean the hall/stairs/landing carpet, again when the kids have gone to bed.
I have some left over garlic butter in the fridge that needs using up and the eldest want's to cook a meal for Scouts so I figure a spag bol for lunch - note to self, clean kitchen after lunch :rotfl::rotfl:- and I have some sliced pork in the freezer so a pork roast for tea and fresh fruit salad and cream.
I took the kids to Asda yesterday as I had booked the seasonal flu shot there (£8) and managed to loose LO (first time I didn't use a child trolley) thus a panicked 20 mins were spent looking for him fortunately a lady had found him and took him to security but the mounting feeling of panic is something I never want to experience again. I suspect he won't wander off again when my back is turned either. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Well it's been a hugely lazy morning so far so I'd best make a move and turn this lappy off .:o
Hugs to all in need esp the poorlies, and I hope George loves his kitten and you both have a good day Jayne. xxx

Well, I couldn't care less about the clocks going back:p We make it lots of fun here. OH wakes up when he usually wakes up in the same manner I wake him every day and we change the clocks when we're finished so we get another hour. I'll soon tire him out and then it will be bedtime again. Must be a nuisance for peeps without my stamina.
What a lovely story Thrifty if just a tad too much information. _pale_:D
