morning all!
had a nice lie in and a read of my book, decided not to go carbooting and have a more relaxing day.
washing on the line, more in the machine, house clean and tidy so not too much to do apart from a bit of ironing. Later we'll take no2 doggie for a walk, no1 doggie is too old and cant cope with a walk anymore although in his mind he thinks he can so gets all excited which is a shame but we try and sneak out so he doesn't notice and leave him in the kitchen with a few biscuits as a treat.
DS2 worked till midnight at the hotel and is back off there later for sunday lunches - hope it works out ok for him.
DS1 is visiting later with his partner as he's working this morning for some extra cash.
The clock change always reminds me of a chap I knew with a learning disability who was a lovely old chap but refused to change his clocks and lived all year on what he called 'Tom's Time'. Sadly he died a few years ago but he always comes to mind at this time of year.
Haribo and Thriflady - you've made me smile this morning:D:rotfl:
Diva - hope you Dad's visit goes well x
Redruby - glad your DD is feeling better today x
CRANKY - hope everything goes well today x
have a lovely sunday all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Hello all, Bit drizzly up here today so going to chill, listen to Elaine Paige on Radio 2 and pop out for a bit to go to the library later. Will make a nice HM pasta sauce later too and do my toenails whilst watching Come Dine with Me.
Do a bit of party plan and got some cash from that this week which is fab as it's been a 5 week month and I was skint. Nothing major but enough to let me have a nice day off on Tuesday and get a few bits for Xmas maybe.
Need to give the bathroom a full clean today and my floors and may do some job applications online. Big time lazy day. Enjoy your day all. X'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -

Morning all
I finally feel like I have caught up with my sleep from the past week away. Wasn't bothered by the clock change this morning, but will be when it starts getting dark earlier tonight
I had planned a lazy day in watching the US tv programme NCIS Season 5 on DVD. I got the boxset cheap last week. But it's sunny and not too windy here at moment so I may go for a little walk. I have tomorrow off work too so could have lazy day then.
I have made my first loaf in my BM!! :j I went for the cheese and onion loaf. It's turned out well, and smells delicious. However I'm not quite sure what to do with it as it's flavoured  I have some salad and cheese so may just make a nice sandwich for lunch. I will make a white loaf either tonight or tomorrow on Economy 7 times. The loaf is quite small, but perfect for little old me on my own.
I will need to tackle the heating next. It was rather chilly in the evening yesterday but my fleecy throws kept me warm. I still have my summer duvet on, with a throw ontop when needed. But I'm finding I chuck the throw off after awhile. I'm not a bedcovers person, I tend to have arms/legs sticking out!
I'm going to make a veggie roast dinner later for tea. I have plenty of surplas veg frozen in freezer so not much chopping and prep needed. Need to tidy round and put hoover over, but not much else.
Have a fab Sunday

aw that's a shame......try again !
I haven't replaced my TV since it broke earlier in the year - our family communicate more and I think I have gained more insight into current affairs and the world news since, we have the radio on most of the time plus there are no more arguments about who is watching what and when.0 -
I would love to go without the telly! I think the kids would go bonkers though...how sad that sounds!!
:mad:Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!

I grew up in a home without a TV & my parents still don't have one. I've always owned one as an adult but can't bear it just being on 'for background'. I think that must come from not having one as a child. I either have to be watching something I completely want to watch or I'd rather switch it off. I often visit houses where there's a TV on in 2 rooms & no-one watching it in either! That'd drive me mad.
