Hypno's "no more boom or bust" diary

Options
Once upon a time, many lifetimes ago, a mid-thirties mother of two, struggling to juggle all the balls that were being thrown at her, was desperately trying to lose weight.

:EasterBun
A member of a weightwatchers forum, in between manipulating the points system by having no point soup and salad, followed by 4 mars bars, she was spotted by a fellow online weightwatcher as a skint person and kindly directed to MSE, where she quickly became brainwashed by the cult of Martin.

:money:
Encouraged by people with names that she could pronounce.......beanie, taxi, and slowlyfading, as well as those that she couldn't.......seaxwyn and pania (it's pronounced PAAAAR-N-EEE-AHHH don't you know) Life quickly changed for the stressed mum. Budgets were drawn up, stardrops were bought, slow cooking became the new eating out, and one more was added to the unemployed, as the cleaner was "let go".

:money:
Time went by, and some days were good, and some not so good. The true extent of the horrors of those previous lives became apparent as hidden debts were uncovered and admitted to the fellow cult members. Yet, as with every cult, hugs were dished out, and encouraging words were muttered by some members, and chanted by others, and the community rallied together to pull her further along the dark dark tunnel they all found themselves living in.

:money:
Hypno (for that was her name) discovered an inability to pass any significant amount of time without MSE by her side. Challenges were taken on, with varying success, magical snowballs were created without even the need for snow, and a whole new cultish language became a part of every day life. Even now, other people (who have yet to discover the cult of Martin) gaze on dumbly as NSDs, and DFDs and latterly MFiT-2 are discussed with DD, DS, and OH.....and other DFWs.

:money:
Many years later, and rapidly approaching the next decade of her life, and the family of the cult of Martin are as strong and as encouraging as ever. Mutterings and musings forming an essential part of Hypno's new life. Challenges come and go, but the people with the strange names, in between batch cooking and ebaying, remain true to the cause, and the love that is DFW remains strong.

:money:
The cult of Martin has many members. Some active, some who prefer to keep their presence a secret, in a state that has come to be known as "lurkdom", but all have a true faith......the faith to be free of debt, and happy with life. All members are welcome to join in as cult-member-hypno continues in her quest towards the light at the end of the tunnel.
