Another reccomendation for AutoAid.
We went on holiday to Wales towing our caravan.
Of course being Wales it rained a lot. And when we hooked up the caravan back to the car to go home, the caravan developed an electrical fault.
None of the back lights worked and hence we could not legally tow it home.
We called AutoAid who sent out a chap to look at the van. Our caravan was so big that he could fit an new back board.
We went home without caravan, the company recovered the caravan and next day brought it home. Total cost £458!
I had the cheque from AutoAid after 5 days.
Excellent service.

Anyone have any advice on where to get reasonable cover for a 4 day trip to France?
I am with Autoaid for UK cover, they want £54 for cover the single trip to Europe, Europ Assistance want £28.58 directly off their website.
Any thoughts to get this lower?
Thanks!0 -
Just had my roadside annual renewel from the AA, it went up to £46.50, so i rang up to cancel, got straight through and explained i can get the same cover for £30, she matched the price straight away
so happy with that as they have been a good company in my few breakdowns!
So you can get it cheaper if you threaten to cancel

Thanks for all of the thread.
I also wanted european breakdown cover. The quote from Auto Aid, was £32 for
Uk cover, and £31 for a week of European cover.
I have now been quoted £44.99 with the above company and taken it up! He was telling me that he has emailed this site several times to let them know about this exceptionally cheap European Breakdown cover, but as yet got no response!! For all those interested ring him on 0800 328 1545.
Martin, put this company/broker on your best buy list!

I just took out a policy with AutoAid cost £32. I see the revised price is on the table of the special link web page, however, the main roadside rescue web page still has the old price (£29) in the table. I think a few links need updating.0

A colleague in work told me that if you break down in Tesco's, you can go to the customer service desk and they will get the RAC out for you for free, Tesco pay! Not sure how true that is, but id someone could confirm, it would be good to know!0
