It's either that or OP isn't telling the whole story. I suspect if it is true, she was taking the !!!! and running round long after the store was supposed to stop trading.

what some people said here is correct. My parents have their own small supermarket, I really understand what workers think when they work in a supermarket. but what I wanted to express is:
1, I have been very near to the oil shelf. I was wearing high-heeled shoes and a long narrow skirt but I was really running like a 100 meter runner.I am not that kind of person who don't understand people in public service sector.
2, The staff didn't want to hear me any word as if I was running to fight with them. I was really shocked with their attitude, but I behaved politely and avoid any quarrel with them. I don't like that kind of impolite behavior.I think people shouldn't be so impolite as they are working in a public sector. The man is over 40, he should be a british gentleman.
3, They tried to pull me out even when I stopped and tried to explain.
4, They were shoutting to me all the way when I was approaching cashier.0 -
high heels, pencil skirt, running like a 100m runner.... no annoucements before 3.55pm.... it isn't ringing true! if it is, a complaint to the manager may make them speak to the staff or review the CCTV.:happyhear0

Not my problem - this is common practice in shops and the only way to stop it is to shut the tills at the advertised closing time - not allow customers to wander around and then moan because I can't decided which make of fish finger i want for tea.

If your parents have their own supermarket, why didn't you get some oil from them?
Shops are open all the hours God sends nowadays, and if you can't organise yourself, then it's not really their fault - they probably have families they want to get home to by 4pm on Sunday.:rolleyes:

That's fair enough, but some customers will be still shopping at 4:05 and ignoring the staff's requests to stop shopping, finally joining the back of the queue at 4:10. At that point we can't just refuse to serve them, as that would REALLY annoy them and we would like to be known for good customer service. So we would serve them, but would you call that customer blame free?0 -
