Hi everyone:hello:
Well, I've decided to start a new diary as my old one has gone all stale I think - it doesn't motivate me whatsoever, I can't be bothered to post on it any more;)
I really need some inspiration at the moment - so thought a lovely, shiny new diary will help me gain some oomph and sparkle again:D
Here's the link to my old diary if anyone's interested...http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1041313
Briefly....I'm 37 with 2 girls of 12 and 10, live on my own with them and am a TA in the local primary. Next month I'm starting a foundation degree in Education Studies for teaching assistants which I'm excited about, but worried about the workload:D
I first joined here last year and since then have got myslef so much more organised and in control of my money. Before MSE I had no idea what was in the bank...if I fancied buying something then I just bought it....mad.
I make extra pennies by selling on ebay mostly - I've run out of books, cds, DVDs for Amazon:p I want to get into matched betting, just not got round to it yet!
So, if anyone wants to drop in and say hi then you're more than welcome;) And if anyone has any tips/ideas on how to keep organised and motivated then please share!
I am on my lovely summer hols as I work in a school and I don't want to waste the next 4 weeks, I need to find my sparkliness:rotfl:

Thanks Edinburgher - it will definitely help me push myself;) I will be at Uni one day a week, I work on the other 4 weekdays in school so think I'm going to be busy. Luckily my girls stay with their dad every other weekend giving me study time...that's the plan anyway:p
I am excited about it - I went to uni at 18 and dropped out at 20 which I've regretted for years....i will get a degree eventually:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Lol - if I'd dropped out I'd probably be a lot richer than I am nowNot to worry, I'm sure you're more motivated than me!
Now that I'm not a million miles away from debt free I'm looking to get another qualification next year. Not quite sure if an NVQ in professional cookery really fits with my librarian's job, but career changes are all the rage these days...0 -
Hi Milly
Well done on all the successes so far. The degree will be hard work but you'll make it! We;ll all be here to spur you on.

Hi Milly
I'll be reading as usual, will try and post more.
What are you hoping to achieve over the next few weeks while you are off?0 -

Good question!
I really want to get on top of the housework and give the place a really good sort out - before work and college start. Luckily we've only lived here just over a year, so it's not too cluttered, but could do wth a general sort out.
I also want to get stuff listed on ebay, try and start matched betting and make a bit of money!
Last summer I made about £500 from ebay, Amzon sales and Quidco cashback - I don't stand a chance of that this year as I've sold so much of the decent stuff:rotfl:
We've just come back from a week in Ibiza so have had the time away, now just want to be busy and super-organised!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Would it help to make a list per day or week of what you want to achieve?
Factor in fun time or relaxing time too, it is your holiday after all.0 -
Today so far....
- dusted, hoovered and tidied lounge
- baked a cake with dd2
- cut back grass and chopped all the overgrown bits
- updated my Lovefilm list
I have a few bits to go on ebay, so might take some pics now and get them listed tonight. I don't think I have much of any value to sell though now, sold so much recently:p
I do have a laptop I want to get rid of - it's not being used as it's so slow and I don't know how to sort it!
I started sorting the girls' room yesterday so might go back and do some more soon before dinner. Found a load of books that I'll see if they're worth selling, if not, charity bag people are coming back on tues - they can have them:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0
